"Hello, America. I'm Amy Klobuchar and I will beat Donald Trump"

RCP has every single candidate beating Trump. Amy is not special.

The stock market and Vegas disagree with those polls. I'll take their predictions over those of a biased media with a track record of utter failure at predicting anything Trump related.

Beating Trump is what all these candidates base their whole run on when really beating Biden and Bernie should be their focus.

I know how you feel, I can't listen to Trump talk either.

You don't need to listen or even pay attention if you choose not to. Just sit back and enjoy the benefits of his successes in the White House and across the U.S.

And then vote against socialism in 2020!! MAGA!!

It means that Trump is disliked to a high degree. If you didn’t know anything about the POTUS except the employment rate you’d expect his approval rate to be in the 60-70% range.

Bingo.

Most of America doesn't live and die by CNN like you retards.

Step away from the internet and Trump's approval is around 60-70%

Socialism?  Would giving twice the amount of money that we did in the auto bailout to bail out farmers be considered socialism?

I think social security is socialism....as are many other wealth redistribution schemes....

We already have plenty of destructive social policies, I suggest we do not need any more

Social security was intended to be self-sufficient. And a good idea, because many americans aren't smart enough to save for retirement.  Programs like food stamps and welfare are great simply because the alternative would be horrible. Starvation, crime, etc that would come with the poverty. I'd rather give some family in the ghetto a small amount of money for groceries than for them to be hungry and desperate.

I mentioned the farm bailouts, not because I'm against them. Of course we want them to stay above water, but there is no other way to describe it than to call it socialism. It's the very definition of socialism.  So Trump and his followers need to decide if socialism is bad or if it's good. It can't be described as bad except when necessary because of Trump's actions.

I oppose bailouts as a rule, to include and perhaps especially the bank bailouts.......

I tilt toward the libertarian view so while I can accept the value afforded by the limited set of socialistic tools, what is being proposed of late concerns me.

We are in a trade war. It is a necessary step to win it. Would you rather not have the trade war at all, or have it and leave the farmers out to dry? Two choices. What say you?

Like I said if you'd actually read instead of looking to argue all the time, I am 100% behind the farm bailouts. But it's socialism, nonetheless.

The popularity of what they call socialism today is a reaction to 40 years of unfettered capitalism and neoliberal policies. Wages have essentially been stagnant in that time and you have companies offshoring jobs, hiring cheap foreign labor and paying their executives an exponentially higher % of profits.

No wonder people are backing candidates who openly call themselves socialist and promise big government programs that support the working classes. They know what free market capitalism gets them.

It’s not socialism. Was our government subsidizing companies during ww2 socialism? It’s a short term thing necessary to win. The bank bailouts? Now that was a lot closer to socialism than the farmer thing.

One was asking taxpayers to pay for bad decisions by lenders and the other was asking taxpayers to pay for a bad decision by our President. In both examples of socialism, the taxpayers were asked to foot the bill. The very definition of socialism.

So you don’t agree with taking on China? That’s a bad decision? Please, tell us why.

As of December 31st, it's cost is 22 Billion dollars just to keep the farmers from going out of business. And that's not counting the billions it's costing businesses in tariffs that have been added to purchasing items from China. My engineering firm gets hit every day with these additional costs.  You can bet your ass that Trump never gave thought to the fact that this would cost us billions just to keep our farmers from going under.  Your question what be answered for years. In my opinion, it was unnecessary flexing for something that we have no idea will even make us a dollar.

Sorry, confronting China is worth it. Well worth it. It’s bound to happen at some point, may as well bite the bullet now. It’s the smart thing to do.

Doubt you'd be saying that if Obama did it cost tax payers 25 billion dollars, but  you're certainly entitled to your opinion. But regardless of whether or not you feel the trade war is worth it, bailing out failing farmers is socialism. Textbook example.

Socialism is when the government seizes the means of production... How people still don't know this beats me

Exactly. What they are attempting to describe is crony capitalism. But painting Trump with the socialist brush appears to be a strategy. Laughable.

My answer was perfect and that pisses you off terribly.  Bank bailouts and farmer bailouts are both socialism. The fact that you can't get Trump's nutsack out of your eyes long enough to see that isn't my problem.

Don't stick your nose in discussions you weren't even involved in. Especially when they were amicable, good discussions. Then I won't have to smack your nose.

That little man is too 16-year-oldish to be open to learning reality.

He's just a socialist little boy. Cross-eyed, knock-kneed, and mentally slow. What can you do? Nothing.

Did you just go on a name-calling rant and then accuse someone else of being a 16 year-old?  😂  Can't make this stuff up.

If you call a white person a white person or a black person a black person is that name calling? A fact is a fact.

You = scrawny socialist pvssy. Do you want me to lie or something?

I don't care if you deny it or give your little emojis in response. The truth is what it is. Call it "name calling" all you want.

Just trying to give you as posting tip. Your posts read like they were coming from a middle school kid.  Angry, juvenile-level name-calling (cross-eyed? Scrawny?). I have no problem with the temper tantrum. Just don't post like a teenager and call the one who got you all riled-up a 16 year-old. It makes you seem extremely non self-aware.  Feel free to inbox me for more posting tips. I'm sure you're not trying to come off as an adolescent.  👍

Duly noted.  I remind Newbie of this often.  Now comes the part where he chimes in with another post with something like "BWAHAHA.  Man you guys really obsess about me.  You'd better take it easy before you have a heart attack."  Something stupid like that.
