What should happen is there will be small incidents of crime until people start figuring out they can get away with it.  Then it will explode into major looting.  Looting grows on an exponential curve (just like the spread of a virus).  It starts small and looks almost like a joke, then it gets way out of control very very fast.

And if you think the worry is just small incidents of crime, I could sit here and link like 20-30 videos of stores in major cities boarding up.

I'm wondering if looting could be the solution for some small businesses. Does insurance cover losses from looting? If a business has no customers due to the virus, and looters steal it all, does the insurance company pay them for everything they take?

There is plenty of rural middle class land out there.  I never understood the ones who are so against big cities and everything about them but then live in or near big cities.  I suppose work dictates  it.  

I honestly dont see this stuff where I live.  What the crazies do in big poorly ran cities isnt much problem to me.  

I dont own a gun.  Im not afraid . I dont live in the ghetto.  The only looting or crime uptick I will see is here or on the news.  If I had to call the local cops they would be here the same time as any other period in history.

I left my car door unlocked by accident and someone went in there and stole my ear buds I use when working out.  Then again, it seems someone steals something out of my car every time I forget to lock it.

I noticed last night that the homeless are getting more brazen since the cops don't want to touch them.  I usually look them right in the eye and tell them no when they ask for change and they slink back.  Lately they've been eyeballing me when I say no.

Wife's family grew up here.  She is highly resistant to leaving.  I rocked up when I agreed to sell my house and come here "temporarily"
