The common theme among countries that get it under control fast is the test early, often, and efficiently. We still have our heads up our asses. 2

It's almost like they are waiting for it to get bad enough where the order won't really help when it finally is declared. We had a three-month warning. I do not understand this at all. Do you know how many people were tested 2 weeks ago? Last week? This week? Our death rate keeps going down as more people are tested.

The entire country has been on "social distancing" for a week plus now. What exactly do you want? Martial law? I honestly don't understand how people can be so focking dumb. Eta: to clarify, can you name a single thing that other countries are doing that we are not, outside of communist China. Even Italy is allowing people to leave their house for essential business.

Governors and mayors are making the decision piecemeal because there’s no direction or leadership at the federal level.

It's about preventing the spread so the hospitals are not overwhelmed. If the hospitals weren't going to be overwhelmed we wouldn't be doing any of this. You stop the spread by identifying the people who have it and keeping them away from people. 1

Those guys spread it among themselves, and then go to grocery store and give it to everyone there. S. Korea and Singapore are testing their asses off and got it under control. We're not doing that.

Mathematically I'm inclined to disagree with the first part; if only 10% ignore it, that should significantly slow the spread and flatten the curve. I agree with the second part, although those are much smaller populations. Could you name another city in SoKo besides Seoul? Yeah, me either. That is where the bulk of their industry is. They probably locked down Seoul and let the rest of the remote hillbillies fend for themselves, at least initially. Just a guess.
