Look at that, 1 week into the season and the Pirates' $45M payroll has a similar or better record than teams with a $200M payroll.  LOL, yeah, that'll last. 🙄

I’m ok with that I guess.  I just really miss real MLB.

Frankly, I miss my son’s youth baseball league even more.

We’re holding out hope that they might get to play at some point, but it doesn’t look good.

agree with this, guys like me and Posty, have been reading boxscores since before we even know how to talk, you put a baseball box score in front of me and it keeps me occupied

even as a kid when I played Baseball Stars, I used to keep score and stats

Ouch yeah I didn't even think of that... My son's soccer season was canceled, but they play in both the fall and spring, so maybe the fall...

That was one of the best thing about going to games as a kid...  Hoping to get a foul ball, get autographs and keeping score during the game with my father...

In the late 70s when I really got into Strat, I used to keep stats as well...  I think I wore holes in the pages every couple of weeks...

Oh those days...

They have MLB league leaders, not every player...

I emailed them requesting this addition...

Gotcha.  Do they just use the opening day roster all year, or do they predict injuries and call-ups?  Wondering if the O's will call up some of their "prospects" this year like Mountcastle.  🤔

They do transactions and have injuries...

For example, in yesterday's box score section, they had at the top:

Today’s Transactions
CLE- RHP James Hoyt sent down, RHP Dominic Leone called up
DET- RHP David McKay sent down, RHP John Schreiber called up
SEA- Rule 5 Pick Yohan Ramirez returned to Houston. DH Dan Vogelbach placed on 10-Day IL, OF Braden Bishop and LHP Taylor Guilbeau called up.

So I heard back from Strat...  I asked that I would love to see team stats, individual stats for all players...

"as this goes on we will be providing more and more reports like this to see what else is going on in the sim"

April 5th Highlights

The Padres win their 8th straight and three players get to double-digit hit streaks to start the year. Here are the key highlights from today’s games:

The White Sox snap a 5-game losing streak and Eloy Jimenez hits his 6th home run to tie for the league lead. Dylan Cease gets his first win of the season and Alex Colome his first save.

Gio Urshela had 4 hits and drove in 3 as the Yankees score 13 runs and beat the Blue Jays 13-3.

Bryce Harper hits his 3rd homer of the season and JT Realmuto has 4 hits as the Phillies win 12-3 to get back to .500 on the season.

Spencer Turnbull goes 6 innings in his first start of the season and stops the Indians win streak at 7 games. Christin Stewart added his first homer of the season in the win.

Travis d’Arnaud hits a go-ahead 8th inning HR to put the Braves on top of Miami 5-4. Ronald Acuna also homered and robbed a homer as the Braves take 2 of 3 to win the weekend series.

The Orioles scored in the first inning and that was all they needed. Wade LeBlanc goes 7 scoreless and Mychal Givens collects his 4th save as the Orioles shut-out the Cardinals, 1-0.

The Nationals finish off their sweep of the rival Mets. Ryan Zimmerman homered and drove in 3 runs as they hold on 9-8 with Sean Doolittle getting his 3rd save.

The Mariners get a much-needed win in Kansas City. Rookie Evan White leads the team with 3 hits and scores 3 runs as they score 5 times in the late innings to come back 8-5 over the Royals.

Nelson Cruz hits his 10th career grand slam (his first HR since Opening Day) to propel Minnesota to their 4th win in 5 games.

April 6th Highlights

The Indians quickly bounce back and get in the win column while San Diego sees their first loss since March 27th. Here are other highlights from today:

Eloy Jimenez had 4 more hits and drove in 3 runs in a 5-3 White Sox win. Jimenez is now the leader or co-leader in all 3 triple crown categories (.463/6/15).

The Yankees had to come back against the Baltimore bullpen to secure their 5th win of the season and get back to .500. Thairo Estrada doubled to bring in the go-ahead run in the 8th.

Hyun-Jin Ryu got his first win as a Blue Jay and almost went the distance. Ryu got 26 outs before turning over to Ken Giles for the last out of the game. Blue Jays win 2-1 over Philadelphia.

Josh Bell and the Pirates batter around Cubs pitching for 10 runs on 13 hits. Bell homered (4th) and singled twice driving in his 8th and 9th runs of the season.

The Marlins continue their nice start to the season and take down the defending champion Nationals 8-1. Jorge Alfaro hits his 1st homer of the season and Sandy Alcantara goes to 2-1.

Cincinnati scored 3 runs in the 6th inning to beat Milwaukee 3-2. Bad news for Brewers fans: Brandon Woodruff left in the 5th and will miss a month with an injury.

Tampa Bay moves ahead of Boston into 1st place by beating the Red Sox 6-3. Manuel Margot hits HR #2 of the season and Ryan Yarbrough went 5 for his second win.

Freddie Freeman’s 4th HR of the season leads the Braves over the Padres 9-5. Four others chip in 2 hits each in the win.

Danny Duffy gets into the 7th inning without a hit and goes to 3-0 on the season. Hunter Dozier homers and drives in 3 in the win.

Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports that Major League Baseball is considering doing away with the American and National Leagues for the 2020 season.

It's just one of several scenarios that the league and the players' association is discussing. The idea would be to split the 30 teams between Arizona and Florida based on the geography of their spring training sites, constructing realigned Cactus League and Grapefruit League divisions during what would be an abbreviated season. Nightengale says that the designated hitter "would likely be universally implemented" under this scenario and that two more Wild Card teams could be added or they could possibly have a postseason tournament with all 30 teams. Like the proposed "Arizona Plan," this is just one idea that's being kicked around, as it doesn't appear anything is close to being decided.

I saw that a little bit ago...  This is going to be baseball's way to get the DH into the NL full-time...

I would much rather have no baseball this year instead of trying all of these gimmicks and put the people in harm's way if "social distancing" is a must...
