Fair enough. That one aged well enough that I don't even think of it as an 80s movie.

I don’t get the love for this movie. I don’t even have it as my favorite golf movie let alone 80s movie.

There really is no hint that I can think of that doesn’t totally give it away.
It has everything- comedy - crime - adventure - music and ......... car chases.

I loved how that pummel horse was so conveniently located for kicking the bad guy's ass.

Some great movie quotes came from this movie:

Chiun : Professional assassination... is the highest form of public service.

Chiun : Women should stay home and make babies. Preferably, manchild.       Major Rayner Fleming : [to Remo]  I see you both went to the same charm school.

Remo Williams : How old are you? I mean really, you are old, now aren't you?             Chiun : For an apricot, yes. For a head of lettuce, even more so. For a mountain, I have not even begun in years. For a man, I am just right.

Remo Williams : [Chiun is staring intently at the TV]  What are you watching?               Chiun : Your country's one and only contribution to the arts. It concern family... Iove, honor, and courage. All that is noblest in the human spirit.             Remo Williams : It's a soap opera for Christ's sake!

Was this the movie filmed when Statue of Liberty was being refinished and there was a chase up the scaffolding? Maybe even a shootout ?

I remember seeing this in the theater.  Snuck in a few bottles of beer and partway thru the movie I accidentally kicked one of the empties.  Had to listen to it slowly and loudly roll all the way to the bottom.
