Sucks. Glad they could at least break thru 'Covid by Default' mentality.

Well, should he die, you never know what they'll put as a cause.

If they ever establish that you are indeed his frined, the cause of death will be that he clicked on one of your links. A ptds, if you will.

Also, you know I'm with everyone else here with the good wishes.

ETA: can you give me / us a first name ?
With a name, it makes it more personal. Not just a random person.

Kinda like when Rholio passed..  :(

Well, if Mark has never clicked on one of your links then he is in much better mental health then the rest of us idiots here.
Let's just hope that the physical part with Mark works out

I just learnt that 1 in six people who develop COPD never smoked.

Like me.

Like I needed to hate smokers more.

It's also pretty much just a catch all phrase for broncho-pulmonary crap. Like 'dementia' covers a lot of neuro crap.

He quit smoking but only because of the COPD. Not good

Pneumonia kills something like 60k people a year. If every death was in the news like covid they could market it as a brand new illness and cause mass panic.

Thanks all for the thoughts. There has been no update so I'm hoping no news is good news. I "liked" a bunch of response here but this site won't let me "like" any more. It says I've used up my allotment for the day. 🙄

You probably thought that this was a weird question but I was just wondering if he was in a state with higher numbers or not...

***UPDATE****

He is home! Probably against medical advice. He "fired" his Dr. because they tested him daily for COVID and he was negative each time. The Dr. told him he doesn't believe the tests and wouldn't take off the Covid restrictions. Mark stated everything time they needed to go in, they had to get into their "space suits". It bothered him because it took so long to address any issue.  Anyways, he is home. Thanks for all the positive waves Moriarty!

That's awesome Joneo! Something like that happened to my ex. For years it her Dr. said she had irritable bowl syndrome. It got so bad one night I took her to the hospital and it turned out to be her Gall Bladder. The surgeon said it was the worse one he had ever seen. She suffered for years because of a stupid doctor.

Why ?

Well the guy is home, but not because he's better, it's because the doctors haven't figured out what's wrong with him and he got fed up at dealing with them. A better outcome is "you don't have Covid19, you have this other thing, we've been giving you this medicine here, you don't have the sickness anymore and you've been symptom-free for a week."

"Fock you all, I'm going home" isn't exactly a cause for celebration.

He has COPD and had/has pneumonia.  Also had A-Fib. When I talked to him, he sounds better....no more "rattling ". He isn't in A-Fib any longer. His opinion is they were disappointed he wasn't Covid. They kept treating him like he was Covid. They woke him up every 2 hours and he simply said enough. He says he feels much better rested at home. I guess I should have put a better light on the coming home thing. I see where there was room for your response. All good man!!
