Ohhh, my bad. I thought this post was about which one I liked the most. I got mixed up in the "who can copy and paste the most nicknames" thread.

I remember when the GIants had Ron Dayne and Tiki Barber and their nickname was "Thunder and LIghtning" which was the best in football at the time.

Then Ike Hillard had done something boneheaded and was called a "cancer" by Jim Fassel.

And with that "Thunder and Lightning" were scooped by their own teammates "Toomer and Cancer."

The Minister of Defense - Reggie White

Reggie White was superhuman.  He tossed Larry Allen like a kid a few times.  No one does that.

Nicknames in sports died when they started to get lame and everyone started using their first initial and first 3 letters of their last name.

I have two eras in my sports fandom, the second of which was Phoenix.  The first was Pre-Phoenix, I grew up in PA, long story which I know I've told but I ended up liking the Oakland teams for baseball and football.  The Snake was one of my favorites.  I also liked Mr. October and Catfish, although Reggie got Mr. October by hitting 3 homers on 3 swings on 3 first pitches with the Yankees.  That's pretty boss.

He was one of my favorite DB’s to watch back in the day.  He and Lott were just focking vicious.

There’s an old newspaper article from my Polk High days where my coach and I were interviewed.  In the article my coach refers to me as “The Assassin”.
