Also I don’t mean 30 minute shows. I like these 3 to 8 minute shows on my reddit feed.

Hard to believe for a so-called celebrity cooking show, and I can't think of her name, but Mrs Garth Brooks? She's actually really good. I mean, she knows the ratios that are involved in things like baking and sauces and gravies and whatnot. And she makes it really simple.

Also, not a lot of pretentious b******* and superfluous terminology.

But I still want to bend Giada de Laurentiis over The cutting board.

My GF and I like a lot of cooking shows. And we have been through the whole bunch of them. I still like Beat Bobby Flay as a late night filler sometimes, but....

...within the last year or so we watched the Great British Bake Off. I am not into baking and would not even enjoy 65% of what they make on the show, but holy crap that is a good competition show. The show lasts for weeks each season and they are all amateurs trying to win a trophy. And a weak one at that. No money. Just some people who love baking. It's really cool.

I’m not a fan of Guy but I can watch triple d all weekend.

They featured 2 places within 20 min drive from me and sadly both were a bust. We used to seek out places that were in the show as we traveled. Went to a few good ones and some meh.

Loved that show.

Not a competition but about a decade ago I worked for a consulting company which, if you were in the office midday, people sat around and watched a show called The Chew.  One of the episodes showed one of the chefs showing how to cook scrambled eggs -- in a sauce pot vs. a pan, and stirring them constantly to stay moist.  My wife and I still comment on how that changed our world about scrambled eggs.

New season just started.  Watching his visit to SF/ Bay Area... almost inspires me to want to cook again
