Oh yeah.

My top female singers.

1. Harriet Wheeler

2. Shirley Manson

3. Natalie Merchant

4. Amy Lee

The order of 2 and 3 depends on the day/song/video

I wasn't a fan. My army roommate that liked the Smiths (not a fan of them either) liked this group too. Not as bad as I remember them to be. There was one decent song in his entire collection, I think this chick sang it, about being pregnant called "Eat for Two."

Yup.  I remember being extremely warm for her form when they did MTV Unplugged.  Especially Because The Night but I can't find that one.

She is out there but probably my favorite female vocalist.

I worked in Jamestown NY in the late 80's when the Maniacs were getting big.  I saw them when they returned a couple times and Natalie years later in Chautauqua NY.   I've seen 10000 Maniacs several times after she left and Mary Ramsey who replaced Natalie is very good as well.

A couple of her best.

Not hot, but great singer.

That's how I always felt about her. I was in love with her voice, not her looks, although she wasn't ugly by any stretch. A unique, soothing voice, though.

Late 80’s saw REM at Duke University. 10k maniacs opened for them. Little did I know how I would grow to despise the people there.

While not Natalie Merchant, I always rub one out to this sexy song about child abuse.

Well okay, but...she did a pretty sexy child abuse song her own self.  🤔

Love that one.  That was their best album IMO.

She has some lesser known songs that I love.

River
Motherland
Life is Sweet
Break Your Heart
Seven Years

All beautiful songs.

I always thought it was because she usually never wears makeup (or very little).   And she wears her hair back.  Women look better with bangs imo.

I'd venture to guess that Tori had at least one, too.  Although this one may be more about adult-style abuse.  🤔  Who cares, she was hot as heck in the 90s.
