Went to the liquor store today. Got some vodka, some wine (mainly for the Mrs.) and I got some scotch for me to try. I would like to just have a glass at night on the rocks to see if I like it. :dunno:

Gin martini while sitting on the dock on Cayuga lake

https://ibb.co/Nmw5Kqz

I have never in my life made a martini. I ordered the below 3 items from total wine today and I have a few different brands of olives to make some dirty martinis tonight.

Dolin Vermouth de Chambery Dry

Belvedere Vodka

Hendricks Gin

I figured a reward was in order for doing pretty good over not drinking the last month. I have only been drinking one night a week, but with this being a 4 day weekend for me I figure I might drink 2 nights.

I also am going fishing tomorrow.

Finishing up a keg of Stella with some Breckenridge Brewery Hop Peak IPA as a backup.

On to Gin:

Dover Strait Extra Dry

Schweppe's Diet Tonic

La Croix Lime

Also if you are looking for a nice sized drinking glass, the 24oz Yeti mug is awesome.  The handle is built in, so it is not as flimsy as some of the other glasses that need the plastic handle.

Can confirm.

I bought one, because I didn’t have one.

I have 4 of them now. Using one right now. The problem is that my wife and kids are “borrowing” mine.

Another downside - you get drunk faster because the drinks are colder and they are less watered down.

They might leave a nice-sized welt on the side of one's head.  Just sayin'.

Me and one son drank Spaten Ale and Warsteiners. I backed mine up with Gentlemen Jack. Younger son not a beer fan drank White Claws. Wife vodka seltzer splash cranberry

We played cards and games until 5AM. I’m already up at 6:30AM. They will probably sleep until noon.

For you rum drinkers....

Last year, one of my friends got me a bottle of 20th anniversary Plantation rum.  Love this.  Ran out a few weeks ago and just replenished... about $50 at bevmo

I stumbled across a craft vodka made by Buffalo Trace called Wheatley Vodka. It's pretty damn good.

Made grilled chicken with sticky fingers Carolina bbq sauce.  Potatoes with red and green peppers and corn on the cob.

Went with a simple cabernet with it and now having an extra glass or two.

Drank my fill of Heineken yesterday so today is all about mellow

Had a bottle of "Rose our Way IPA" from Four Peaks (local AZ brewery), it was quite tasty.  Very light and refreshing, and claims to only have 5 grams of carbs.  It's not cheap ($12 for a six pack) but I could see keeping this stocked for the summer.

Arizona- Brut IPA. This style of beer generally offers a hop-forward flavor and aroma with a high level of carbonation and a dry finish. This style brings a combination of elements of champagne and IPAs together.
