UE Boom

We have this one as well, not a bad option.  Very durable.

I have a Bose Soundlink Color II, and love it. There is no comparison, however, between it and the A2. The A2 could be used like deck top studio monitors.

Have you considered AirPods or some other EarPods?

If you're going to use it on the treadmill there is no reason to spend $500 on it.

I bought a pair of these Oontz Angle 3 Ultra as they can be setup in unison or as separate left/right speakers.  Ended up just keeping one on my office desk and the other up in my wife's office.  Sound quality is just fine and was maybe only $60 or so for the pair.  Can't remember exact cost.

I've noticed that whenever HTH posts a thread about audio he's always looking at buying some godawful expensive audiophile level gear.  I'm not sure if he's truly an audiophile or just trying to make himself look wealthy/impressive.  But spending $500 on a workout speaker is dumb.

+1 here too. I have had mine for 5+ years as well. We take it out by the pool and the heat doesn't bother it. We always take it with us when we travel. The sound quality is very good and it is durable.

Are you looking for something portable?

For a portable, I have a Vizio Crave go sp30

I also have a Google home mini system (4 speakers around the house).  Also, I have connected the Vizio to the group via wifi.  Can connect to one speaker or all.

So now The Man can listen to you banging your wife in every room of the house?

I have a single Google home mini that I got for free via spotify.  I use it in the bathroom while in the shower or taking a dump.  I keep waiting for ads to show up regarding toilet paper or pepto.

Just ordered this  JBL Charge 4.   I like that it holds 20 hours of charge and has two USB ports to charge your phone.  And it's waterproof.  I'll have it for the weekend

Both were delivered!

The JBL sounds amazing! Definitely a keeper.

Going to test out the audioengine this weekend!

I'll probably return one of them unless I fall in love with both!

Still amazed!  Might be better than my B&W 603's!

They've had these on Slickdeals a few times at $900 for the pair.  https://www.jbl.com/loudspeakers/STUDIO+590.html?utm_source=cj&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=4485850&utm_content=13565658&utm_kxconfid=unr5xf4yk&cjevent=d696c0aeb74b11ea83c501130a24060f

I've almost bit more than once on the bookshelf version but never have.  I've read great things about them though.

Damn.  That's a bear.  It would be more than anything I'd need. You could probably entertain a campground with that thing.

How loud are they. I put a 20 dollar bluetooth adapter on my OOOOOLD receiver in the backyard hooked up to real speakers. I can't imagine it'd be anywhere near as loud with any bass?

UE Boom

I have a UE Boom I use for portability. It's pretty good.

For in the house, I have a Harmon kardon aura studio. You may have seen them in the store, the weird looking glass domed looking thing.

That thing focking booms. I love it.

The Bass is incredible! Very Loud!

From the description:

'The loudest JBL boombox ever with monstrous bass'

The JBL blows away the Audioengine!  I'm going to return it.

Still amazed at the sound quality of the JBL.

Highly recommended!
