Seattle officials vow to clear out violent 'CHOP' zone, but residents ask why it took a murder

No, it happened because a mob went to the Mayor's house.  She didn't give a sh*t about any of this until it affected her.

You're probaby right. I still like my narriative better.

One notable thing from that encounter yesterday is that we know that Chaz nationalists know where she lives, hopefully we get to see "New Chaz" appear soon centered on her house in the wealthy residential area. DonS can sell Mayor Dirtcan's panties on eBay.

We need video/audio of her screaming, "I'm on your side!! I'm on your side!" as she gets beaten down by a bunch of "peaceful" black protesters.

She is the mob. Full on crazy. It's Mayor Dirtcan who's "on their side."

Actually it would be great to see encampments around every SCC member's house.  They always vote unanimously for every "progressive" feel good idea without taking a moment to consider the ramifications that everyone can see coming from a mile away.

If that happened you'd be on the hook for the private security they'd demand, just like in Minneapolis.

Thankfully I don't live within Seattle city limits. Won't be my taxes being raised to clean up all the justice left behind. I just get to watch them destroy the city I once loved from the suburbs.

Where do you live, if you don't mind me asking?  I lived in Shoreline for about 14 months back in the late 90's.  So glad I'm not there now.

So you think that when the biggest, most prosperous city in your state goes to shite and businesses leave the state you won’t be affected? I’m from NY. Take it from me, you will be.

Most of the businesses that leave Seattle will just pop over Lake Washington to the Eastside (Bellevue/Redmond) rather than leaving the state entirely.  Those cities understand that taxing the sh1t out of businesses and blaming them for everything isn't smart.  Amazon has already started building several new office buildings in Bellevue.

The biggest impact to the rest of the state is if the progressive cancer spreads out of Seattle and they institute a state income tax.  If that happens then, yeah, things will definitely change.

The last I saw of him, he was denying that Chaz even existed.

So far Inslee has tried several times to institute carbon taxes and had been defeated at the polls each time.  Funny how he never mentioned that during his extremely brief presidential run where he championed his climate credentials.

State income tax is actually specifically against the state constitution.  Seattle has tried taxing "wealthy" Seattle residents even though they knew full well it would be overturned by the courts.  They did it anyway and wasted more tax dollars to pay lawyer fees for the unsuccessful appeals.

Last I heard of Inslee he was getting heckled off the stage in Eastern WA due to his mask mandate.  He had to move his speech indoors to get away from the protestors.

Do you think not having a state income tax but a fairly high sales tax is better or worse? I tend to think I would prefer no state tax but a higher sales tax.

Yep.  When the kids were little we would often spend Thanksgiving in Portland with my SIL.  My wife and her would then brave the Black Friday insanity for that sweet no sales tax.

One of the saddest videos I've ever seen.  This is Hannity interviewing the father of one of the people killed at CHOP.

https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/592019-seattle-officials-considered-transfer-of-police-building-to-black-lives

Quote

Former Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan’s (D) administration had drafted legislation to transfer power in the Police Department’s East Precinct building to a Black Lives Matter activist organization.

Newly released documents obtained by The Seattle Times showed that on June 8, 2020, Calvin Goings, the director of Seattle’s Department of Finance and Administrative Services (FAS), sent three memos and a draft resolution via email to Durkan about abandoning the precinct.

Remember when US policy was to not negotiate with terrorists? Seattle considered surrendering to them.

Normal folks who vote Democrat are like dudes who stay with batsheet crazy women.  Just too stupid or stubborn to change.

Yeah she bent all your golf clubs and called your mother dirty names but hey maybe it will work in the long run.

Democrats prove time and time again that they are batsheet crazy lunatics with insane ideas.  Yet a chunk of normal folks continue to sign up for it.
