Alvin Kamara ADP?!?

Why?  Down to 2nd round in 12 team PPR?

In PPR he's not going in the 2nd. He's basically a WR with some gimmick runs. In non-PPR sure. Latavius and and that QB are going to take a nice chunk of runs.

Mmm don’t put a lot of stock into mock drafts, most draft one or two picks and leave.

Whats your take ?

I think if he is indeed healthy, he’s a first round pick.

I couldn’t agree more, which was why I was concerned that maybe I missed something in the news.  He’s been at 1.05 forever, but for some reason on FFcalculator’s full PPR ADP he’s dropped to 2.03?  Maybe somebody has too much time on their hands and is trying to drop his ADP for some reason?  Just seemed weird.

It's likely some anomaly going on with the mocks there. I wouldn't ready too much into it.

A lot of those mocks early on are run with auto pick from my experience. GIve it a few weeks. He'll go up to 15-16 99% of the time.

Probably a glitch like Mike mentioned, but I won't draft him in the first round in any 12-team non-ppr draft this season. Gimme guys like Chubb, Henry, and  M. Thomas....probably even A Jones, J Jacobs, and Mixon. I would also snatch Lamar or Mahomie ahead of him in my QB-heavy leagues. Oh, I'm not saying that he ain't worth a mid-late 1st on paper....but I'm just done with him.

Now, Lat Murray at his ADP...that's a different story. Will own many shares of him.

Yeah, I could see that.  We have a crazy, high bonus, 2PPR system, so he’s pretty valuable.  Just needed to make sure that I wasn’t missing something.  Had to pick my derby draft order.

Latavius will get pickpocketed by Taysom more with Brees back healthy and Winston as the #2. Kamara will get his in PPR but I would hold the line on him in non PPR to late 2nd or early 3rd round for sure. Latavius likely don't draft him in either. Very TD dependent and does not do well with Kamara and Taysom. If Latavius does not score basically screwed. Kamara goes down though he is gold but that is a big gamble drafting him. Just try to get him on the waiver or wait until someone drops him if you really want him.

I hear you, but my interest in Lat is strictly as a Kamara injury hold at the bottom of my bench. He is fantasy gold in that system when given opportunity, as he showed us last season in weeks 7 and 8 when he racked up 221 yards on the ground with 3 TD's, adding to that 14 receptions for 86 yards and another TD.

He is but Kamara returned and that was that. I had him and Kamara. Dropped Latavius early then immediately grabbed him when I heard some Kamara injury rumor then dropped him for Hunt when Kamara returned. I would much rather have Hunt at the draft in PPR. He's going to get enough work all season. Lativius to me is a massive luxury. Really gambling on an injury for any real value. You are right though he killed it with Kamara out. He went berserk. One game he had something like 12 catches or something stupid. I may go back and watch that game. Hilarious.

Mocking with people is a common mistake. Always mock against consensus adp and use that to establish value trends. Fantasypros has the best mock system to me, easy and detailed quick to run. Uses consensus from many sources and analysts and changes its trends from draft to draft. Mocks vs humans are useless as the human component doesn’t help you establish value trends. That said Kamara is a top 6 pick in every ppr draft.

Heres a link to their ranking page. Use things like this, FFtoday rankings and others just to establish where your personal value trends could be. https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/rankings/ppr-cheatsheets.php

Agreed.  I like to take a consensus from all over the place, which is why I also like the consensus ADP at fantasy pros.  I stopped using their mock however, because their algorithm place is too high a value on quarterback and especially second quarterbacks, so I find it throws off the draft about five rounds in, typically.  I’ve been using the Sleeper app, who’s mock seems to take that a little bit better into consideration and also allows for third round reversal in its settings, which is what we run with our nutty top heavy scoring system.

If one sees a rebound from Kamara, and I do,  he’s a first round draft pick.
