De Niro's lawyer says he's too broke to retire

Recommended Posts

76 years old and burnt through all that money. Crazy. The virus did hurt his restaurants but he was hurting financially for a while, way before the virus. I assumed he was hurting when he started taking demeaning comedy roles. He'll be filing for bankruptcy soon. His wife drained him like a smashed fish tank.

He’s not broke. He’s jumping through a loophole to give his baby momma less. Her payments were tied to his income, not his wealth. His income is down so he wants to pay less. It’s a rich persons trick and her lawyers were dumb to structure it that way. It’s like when the Yankees would have less revenue and claim they lost money when they wanted the city to pay for a stadium. Making less isn’t  losing money.  Deniro is worth 500 mil.

Wait a minute.  Are you telling me that he's not a genuinely great and moral guy?  No, that can't be.  We just spent the last 3.5 years of him telling everyone how terrible of a person Trump was.  Clearly, he must be a moral compass.

Projection is the essence of Liberalism.  Every single thing this clown ever said about Trump is a truth about himself.

His lawyer is saying otherwise. He has to keep working or he can't cover monthly expenses and can't retire. That is flat broke at 76 years old in my book.

You're right.  No one should ever be bashed because they're trying to find a way to not pay for their kids... especially rich white democrats.

His lawyer is framing it to meet the conditions she agreed to. He’s not broke, not even close.

No, he's a high school drop out who made his career pretending to be other people but feels that background entitles him to spit vulgarities at non-political public events about how certain he is that our president and all of the people who voted for him are scumbags.     I don't care what political direction you are coming from, if that's you and what you are saying/doing then you are a POS.

And he's a POS because he's filthy rich and yet he's still gaming the system so he doesn't have to pay his ex wife/mother of his children more $ but he's the one lecturing the rest of us on our "morals".   He's everything that's wrong with this country's celebrity culture.

But, really, nice job trying to make this about "righties" bashing him because of how he votes.    So weak.

this is dumb beyond words.  he is worth $500 million and regarded as one of the greatest actors ever.  you should try to be an actor.  anyone here crying about someone spitting vulgarities at trump is kind of pathetic...how many times on this site has someone and very likely you said Michele Obama had a dong.  so weak.

Please, every role he was himself. He's no Tom Hanks or Decrapio. Those guys become other people. De Niro can recite the words with the right emotion, but it's alway De Niro.

it says in the article he agreed to 100k when making $15mil per year.  I guess his lawyer is saying he is not making that right now.  his kids are never going to have to work..you know this..you want him to pay mom for rest of their lives, which he probably will in some capacity, apparently already kind of staked her for the rest of her life.  no, you just want to try to bash a lefty, and you have a bunch of hyenas ready to bash along with you.

His lawyer is saying he can't retire right now if he wanted. I'm sure if he sold stuff he's absolutely fine but he has a lot of liabilities. Almost no cash on hand and those luxury restaurants have been losing money for years. With the virus, the two industries getting hit hard are restaurants and Hollywood. He has some movies lined up but they can't film.

No, I’m saying he has to pay, he agreed to it. The conflict is about how much. You’re the one questioning if he should have to pay anything. You don’t read what I say often times and project what you want me to be saying.

Well, you didn’t say he shouldn’t have to pay anything, I’ll give you that. I also didn’t say he should have to keep paying what he was. Like I said, her lawyer made a bad deal and he’s taking advantage of it. He doesn’t have to impose the agreement, but he is. Mostly because he’s a kunt and taking advantage of the opportunity to do so. Which is his right.

You do realize these "Awards" are often negotiated or paid for. I mean, Pia Zadora won a golden globe. She also won Golden Raspberry awards for the same role.

Zadora starred alongside Stacy Keach and Orson Welles in the 1982 film of James M. Cain's novel Butterfly, the plot for which involved father–daughter incest. Her character, Kady Tyler, was described as being the daughter of Keach's character Jesse Tyler. The musical score featured Zadora singing "It’s Wrong for Me to Love You." She won that year's Golden Globe Award as Best New Star of the Year amid charges that Riklis had purchased the award with a promotional campaign that included Zadora's image presented prominently on Sunset Boulevard billboards,[9] an appearance in Playboy magazine, and entertaining Golden Globe voters.[10][11] Most critics responded negatively to her performance, however, and she received the 1982 Razzies for both Worst New Star and Worst Actress.

His own lawyer is saying he can't retire due to financial liabilities at the age of 76. Maybe it's lawyer gab but this is his personal lawyer, not FOX news saying it. And yes, De Niro constantly blasting conservatives and using profanity, of course he's going to take a good ribbing for anything he does that looks bad. Can't do that stuff without retribution.
