So, I started a new job it's another full-time job on top of the other full-time job. And my grief counselor, my work counselor, and my primary care physician and my cardiologist all stopped by. Mostly mostly because it's a really cool store.  But also, Mostly because I shouldn't be working one job much less two full jobs. But they're all really cool and they're all really grateful that I'm happy with my new job.

 

You know what? F*** it. I'm still supposed to see a couple of specialists. The end of the day it's terminal and the only question is how long it should last.

 

My PCP is freaking amazed that I'm still walking around. Much less having two full-time jobs. And by the way, I love my jobs. And by the way? It's a 2-mile walk back and forth every day. But that's the bargain I made with my cardiologist. I can't do cardio rehab. So I do that.

 

I've got some social worker who guarantees that their lawyer can get me on SSDI. But I literally don't have any symptoms. I'm freaking healthy as a horse. I work more hours Than People half my age and I can throw paletts like a mofo. And God damn it I'm not just going to lay around and smoke pot like every else in Colorado.

 

So latest blood work is no real different. Terminal. Irreversible. That's f******. I haven't changed one thing. Because if it's terminal and irreversible? Why the f*** would I?

So that's the latest. Love the new gig.

 

And if this is dying? Short of the lack of b*******? I'll take it.

After rereading the first post over and over I focused in on this line:

I think he mentioned it as cirrhosis. I think that is what is causing the blood and heart issues.

 

Hopefully they can get him patched up and back out there.

Not sure if I get the entire gist of this thread, but... from what I have read, this saddens me more than you’ll know. You have always been one of the best parts of this little corner of a lightly trafficked message board. You have made me smile and literally laugh out loud more times than I can count, and I hope you manage to hang in there for a little while longer. So, apparently, major esophageal bleed. Or more to the point, six of them. Plus three ulcers plus my stomach lining shot.

Imagine varicose veins in your esophagus. Apparently the guy who did the procedure said they are the largest he's seen in his career. Oh, yay?

 

I can tell you it was the most painful recovery I've ever had. I know plenty of people who have had a whole lot worse, but not me. My beloved fentanyl was useless.  But then add Dalaudin and it was delightful.

 

They tell me all these things after the procedures are done. Like Apparently one third of all people who present with something like this at the hospital never leave.

 

But literally at the end of day and all day tomorrow and maybe Sunday pretty much my whole job just to sit around with 35 different probes  attached to me and blood work seemingly every 12 minutes, and not s*** or puke blood. Which surprise surprise isn't working out so well.

 

God, I'm bored. 

... and there's a bar about a 10-minute walk from here.
