Cam Newton has been anointed the presumptive starting quarterback of the New England Patriots, but Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels are going to make the former MVP earn it if that is indeed the case.

During Wednesday’s training camp practice session, Newton was third in line when it came to quarterback reps, sitting behind Brian Hoyer and Jarrett Stidham.

Not to worry, he was in front of Brian Lewerke

As predicted, Belicheck & Kraft simply signed him to give the appearance that they are interested in him and shutdown any 'Pats are racist because they let Brady leave and won't sign a former MVP'. The 3rd on depth chart is to see if he quits. Solid move.

and keep him from the Dolphins when they realize Tua can't go yet. Scam is 2 and 0 career against the Pats

Patriots.com depth chart says Cam Newton / Jerrett Stidham both as 1st string, then Hoyer, and Lewerke.... ?

I'd be surprised if Cam isn't starter Game 1.  He's a punk and had some injuries.... but damn look at his competition.  He can't possibly be that bad, that fast.
