Anybody ever do cauliflower steak,?

Recommended Posts

Had to look it up because I had never heard of it. Is that what you feed the cow before you eat your real steak?

Yes, it’s okay on the vegetable side of things.  I find that you need to parboil the cauliflower first so that it gets past feeling like you are eating charred raw veg.  The seasoning is key too - a good chimmichurri or the like.  Best served with steak.

It's like calling a big mushroom on bun a burger. Mushrooms are not meat.

Steaks are meat. Cauliflower is the shlt vegetable, that sometimes gets thrown in with good vegetables to save a restaurant money instead of just giving good vegetables.

My friend does an entire head of cauliflower on his Traeger smoker. He got the recipe on the Treager website and it is one of the best things I have had when it comes to vegetables, but it is no steak.
