He was a Democrat during that era. Switched parties and changed his ways. Most of the 210K were obese POS's. Awful but America needs a wake up call. 645K died of heart disease in 2019, a much much worse epidemic and there won't be a vaccine.

Well that was a lot better. Both the tenor and quality of the debate was so much better.

For Pence, whereas Trump could have nail Biden or clarify some lie about himself, he seldom did, Pence was on the money. He played both great defense and great offense, he got zings in on both Biden and Harris and didn't waste any opportunities. I particularly like how he held Harris' feet to the fire on stacking the court and the Green New Deal. Harris for her part did as well as could be expected but she's presenting and defending positions that are untenable, that don't resonate with me, and she was caught dodging questions on issues that would make her uncomfortably alienate either with swing voters of the freak show.

President Trump needs to do better in his debate performance. What we saw was peak Biden. Biden cannot improve and yet most people, not me, saw that debate as largely a draw because Trump looked like an embarrassing jerk but Biden looked weak. I didn't see it as a draw.. Well yeah, Biden looked weak but I was not shocked. I saw Biden him answering questions and still in charge of his faculties when i half expected him to stand there and drool. I wanted a Commandant Lassard moment and didn't get one. There's enough gas in the tank to get him through November third. What had me raging was all the opportunities wasted to pummel Biden and seldom follow through. Chances to set the record straight on his accomplishments and he went somewhere else.

Same thing happened to Obama with Romney in the first debate. I think it's just being President, they get cocky and don't prepare all that much. Obama got smoked in that one but hunkered down and cleaned it up.

Covid is probably a godsend for Trump if he indeed recovers swiftly and is forced to do more prep work. Lots of material as you stated, just need to put it together and let joe bury himself. I kinda don't blame Trump though. Obama spied on his campaign. I would want to body slam biden against the podium.

No one recalls Trump behaving in the same manner the 1st debate with Hillary. Then the 2nd he was totally different. It has to be part of his natural salesmanship to put you on your heels in the first encounter,  then soften. One thing it absolutely does is make it all about him, which is what he wants.
