Is it true that the grass is always greener over the septic tank?

I'd like some data.

My fraternity house had a septic tank and I can say that this is not true.  Of course, we regularly overflowed the tank during parties and flooded that area of the lawn with waste so that might have had an impact on our environment.

Not for me. My tank is near an area with pine trees nearby. I don’t lime enough to have the grass grow well.
The leeching field is further in the back and it gets a ton of sun. The brown water is probably offset with laundry and dishwasher runoff anyway.
