50 Cent says ‘vote for Trump’

Recommended Posts

Quote

The 45-year-old hip-hop mogul -- born Curtis James Jackson III -- took to Instagram on Monday to offer his support for President Trump after seeing figures related to former Vice President Joe Biden's proposed tax plan.

The star shared an image from what appeared to be a news broadcast, displaying the "top tax rates by state under [the] Biden tax plan."

Among the states mentioned was New York, which the broadcast said would be taxed at a rate of 58% while New York City would be taxed at 62%.

As a test I simply did a search on 50 cent, already knowing he had asserted this position, what I saw was a clear silence from CNN/MSNBC/others. Media is failing us as the guardian of the people, they are under the control of a political party that is now radicalized.

Damn

My BIL has an apartment in NY City, and because of that he used to pay 7% of his gross income as a city tax. I don't know what it is now. 7% off the top, wow!

A guy - with a history of filing bankruptcies, leaving creditors high and dry - endorsing Trump, crying about a candidate trying to screw him out of money.

Irony...

All have gone through bankruptcies. If there was no such thing as bankruptcy, think about how many businesses and jobs and innovations wouldn't exist because people would be too scared to try to open businesses using their hard earned savings.

There is a running joke that goes something like people are liberal when they are kid but the second they receive the first paycheck in their life and look at the part that shows the amount of taxes taken out, they turn republican.

Its "If you are young and not a Dem/Lib then you have no heart.  If you are old and not a Repub/Con then you have no mind/brain".  I usually see this said by someone who was dumb when they were young, and are now a republican who is trying to make themselves feel like they are smart.

No, its not that one.  The joke is specifically about paychecks.

I have an 18 year old who paid taxes for the first time this year. He was 17 at the time we did his taxes, so no party affiliation really.

He owed. He worked as a focking busser at a restaurant and he actually OWED state taxes. Less than $20k a year and had to pay. He was like, "The fock is this about?"  Welcome to working in CA, son. Bluer than blue.

But if you are legally able to avoid it then you can never run for president, maybe he is just keeping his options open?

Call me crazy, but who in their right mind would vote to tax themselves more when they can clearly see what they get for their money. Is someone making over 400K really voting to tax themselves more because of Orange Man Bad. Is someone making less going to vote for reversing the tax cuts. I find this impossible to believe in the grand scheme of things. Not saying he's going to win but show me where people have actually voted to do this with the market up. It has never happened. EVER.

If someone thinks their taxes are going to support social causes they endorse they may be willing to pay a higher tax for them.

Do you know anyone who actually thinks that way?  That actually trusts the government with the extra cash they're taking...particularly the higher income earners?

No way I'm paying in anymore than I have to.  I support the causes I want to directly.

I believe there are people out there who think this way, but I doubt they have much money to speak of...

You don’t do much educating around here. It’s just stupid comments or OMB. Would love to see you attempt to make a case for Biden’s policies. But you won’t. Because you can’t.

That's certainly possible.  We all post dumb things sometimes, at least from other peoples perspective. But he posts a hell of a lot more than you so that's not a good metric to go by.  What is undeniable is that on a percentage basis the quality and value of his posts blows yours away.

It's not that you're a minority.  It's that none of your posts ever have any substance to them.

I disagree.  I am usually trying to have a conversation though, maybe give an opinion, not necessarily prove some point.

He even sounds like many minorities in this country. Not owning up to dumb comments or actions, but rather highlighting a minority status instead of taking on the topic type approach. Interesting watching this play out as it is here.

Use Hawkeye in the Buck Aikman thread as an example.  he says he likes flyovers, but they might be unnecessary.  and then its 10 different geeks getting his argument wrong, while patting each other on the back.  1 reasonable comment, a bunch of dumb ones that Idiot99 likes.

Really?  Because I saw someone point out to him that flyovers are used for training, so the flights would happen anyways.  And that is correct:

https://www.jacksonville.com/article/20111125/NEWS/801240558

Hawkeye even acknowledged this likelihood.  Of course all he said was "possibly" and then he continued to try to defend his stance instead of researching the fact that flyovers are in fact used for training.  Maybe he should have just had a light bulb go off and said good point.  Then it would have ended.  But, like this bored tends to do, it devolved in to a pissing match.  But that's as much Hawkeye's fault as anyone elses.

But we weren't talking about Hawkeye.  My comments were about YOU.  What does this have to do with the value of your posts?

I think his argument is that he is a minority and has to be treated differently than normal people, more gently because he can't really keep up.

he did say good point, and he agreed with people.  my posts have the value that they have, that you or most other people here don't find them valuable is fine.  mostly I don't find many peoples post here valuable.  I still like to hear all of your dumb opinions.

He didn't say "good point."  He said "possibly."  Then he continued defending his original stance:

I don't know if they would be doing training exercises elsewhere instead?  Those flyovers are scheduled based on the event schedules and not the military's training schedule, right?

I'd be willing to pay higher taxes if I got certain things in return, like Sanctuary for illegals, more criminals on the streets, killing the 2nd Amendment, and silencing conservative voices. That would be worth giving up 62 cents of every dollar I make.
