He got 5 pct of the vote his first year of eligibility. So the guys that saw his whole career recently didn’t even come close to putting him in. Ok. I’ll say he had some great numbers for a catcher, but he had the same numbers his first time on the ballot. Fock those guys.

Scott Rolen 68%

if Ozzie Smiff is in, how is Vizquel not in?

All those fat, baseball writing voters, should be sent to Liberia. No clue losers.

While I agree about Rolen... if Edgar Martinez got in, how do you keep Rolen out?

As for Vizquel...

Does the word accused mean anything anymore? What about Bobby Cox?   https://tht.fangraphs.com/mlb-turned-a-blind-eye-to-bobby-coxs-domestic-abuse/

Also Edjr Martinez should not be in the HOF. They really should change the name to the Hall of Better than Average

Hey, I'm not the one voting.  Don't blame me.  I'd vote for him.

I don't disagree.

Wouldn't surprise me either...  With 2020 inaugurations maybe happening this year, if there isn't anyone, they still have some to let into the Hall of okay...

before a lot of people and based on playoffs/WS, absolutely.  But he's a crazy conservative and most of the fat liberal loser voters hold things like twitter and memes against him. Sad.

For supposedly being a clean player Schilling had 106-51 win/loss record when we 34 years old and up.

110-95 before the age of 34.

For comparison's sake Barry Bonds averaged 1hr/16ab's age 33 and before.

1hr/9ab's age 34 and up.

They're both HOVG'ers though.

I’ll take Alomar. But Kent was great

  Alomar is in the HOF (and deservedly so).  I don't recall Kent spitting in an Umps face. He practically spit in Barry Bonds face and that should get him extra votes

Now when I think HOF, Roberto Alomar is the type of player that should be in.  Legendary defense and a great stick for 2B.

They have Pettite slotted right. He should be considered, but shouldn’t get in. And Billy Wagner shouldn’t be that high.

I think that if the committee votes in Bonds and Clemens.

That is quite literally the only way they get in. Sneak in the backdoor.

As much as I love Curt and what he did for the Red Sox and I do love his personality.

74.9 would be HILARIOUS

If they worked for the NY Times, it would be 0 of 11.

We will find out today, when MLB Network reveals the results of the 2021 Baseball Writers’ Association of America’s Hall of Fame ballot. The four-hour announcement show, presented by Camping World, is live right now ahead of the 6 p.m. ET reveal. The show is being simulcast on MLB.com and, for the first time ever, in the MLB app on connected devices.

Four-hour announcement show and probably 50% chance nobody is inducted.

Oh well...  There is always next year and then the Veteran's committee...

It is shame keeping out two of the best players to every play the game...  If the writers are consistent, then ARod, David Ortiz should never sniff the hall either...
