They blather on about how the left started it, but it really goes back to Aug. 1, 1988, when a big-mouthed chunky clown who'd been fired from DJ jobs four times hit national radio and gave birth to infotainment, whipping up the left-hating anger that end of the political spectrum now projects, with a steady diet of misinformation and conspiracy theories. Rush Limbaugh's emergence served as the flashpoint for the explosion of the biased, opinionated information sources we have today. And if these information sources don't always present what their audiences want to hear, viewers/listeners pack up their marbles and move over to Parler, MeWe, OAN, Newsmax, MSNBC or CNN so they can all get on the same political menstrual cycle. A frighteningly huge percentage of this country has polarized itself to the point of no return, and it's pathetic. For a newspaper dude, you really suck at the paragraphing in some of your posts. RLLD 3,455 Posted November 25, 2020 If New York is anything it is resilient. We saw back in the 70's and early 80's the destruction created by Democrat policies which are always ruinous. But they bounced back hard when the adults (Republicans) took over. I think when and how New York restores itself will depend on just how badly the Democrats harm the city, so far they have been pretty bad.

Hardcore troubadour 12,631 Posted November 25, 2020 My dad grew up poor in Ireland in the 30’s and 40’s. They had to have some cats around to keep the mice out of the chicken feed. When a cat had a litter of kittens it was his job to round them up and put them in a sack with a rock in it and bring it down to the river and throw them in. We've adopted out like 250 in the past couple of years. COVID shot down one of our businesses, which also served as a place for the fosters. We took in a bunch of them while our new headquarters is being built. It recently opened, so we've been gradually populating it with ones we had at the house, mainly in a climate-controlled garage. We keep the shy and semi-feral ones awhile because they can be nurtured into great cats. We just rescued one from a shelter a few hours ago. Cute, sweet little thing that would have been euthanized because she's got a minor mouf infection.

So what word should we use now for cops and fireman and other real emergency responders when they rescue someone, now that the word “rescue” has lost its original meaning? Did you meet much resistance during your rescue operation?

Is there any way you can turn them into vats of cat stew to feed the number of homeless people in the streets of San Francisco? Or do you care more for the cats than all the homeless living under nancy pelosi's watch? Or even take the money you are spending on health care to save the feral cats and get some beef and veggies for the homeless that pelosi is lording over while she puts out videos of herself in front of her $30,000 fridge eating from the stock of her favorite ice creams? In your world where you want socialism, you want the money spent to go to cats, and not the needy when it comes to food and health care?
