How does Matty pencil Patricia still have his job in Detroit?

Recommended Posts

who does he have pictures of?

Worst owners in the NFL have to be Fords.

isn't Martha Ford like 107? I am guessing the fans will erupt in cheer when she croaks?

We should have woke up to news of him being fired. Unfortunately the ford's are really bad owners. Like really bad.

Matt Millen sent him all the pics he acquired over his Detroit Lion killing career. It's like the Costanza version of handing down all your knowledge to the next guy.

The lions should draft a QB with the first and 5th and sign an UDFA for the practice squad.

This is why even with Detroit being on e of the worst franchises in all of sports, it is still a place some coaches and GM's wanna land.  The job security they enjoy is just ridiculous.

I'd rather get hired for a 3/4 year contract and then get fired day 1, so I can get paid and find another job

The Chicago Blackhawks hadn't won a Stanley Cup since 1961. But when owner Bill Wirtz finally kicked the bucket in 2007 after 41 losing years, the Hawks won the cup in 2010, 2013, and 2015. It was glorious.

No one claimed they cursed them so I took the initiative. It’s effective immediately.

Ford died a few years ago. It's still with his family though.

I wish they'd move the team.

Yeah, layne cursed them after they traded him. He said they wouldn't win another championship for 50 years. I guess he was way off.

Now it’s apparently just the curse of HT. For the record I am not a Lions fan since Scott Mitchell forced me to swear them off forever

Well it’s early (remember “Mangenious”?), but that fella down in Miami is looking pretty good. And Vrabel

Vrabel was a player.  Flores, potentially. Tua will have a lot to say about that. Still not a good record for the BB tree

Vrabel learned a ton from BB. I don’t quite buy the player-only distinction

Think he'll ever be as good as Steve Corky Belichick?   What a joke.

Let's be honest.  You cannot have a dynasty without a franchise QB.  Just doesn't happen.  If Belichick lacks that guy, he will win but not consistently, just like everyone else.  I mean if he gets close to the #1 pick, he might as well offer his entire draft plus 1-2 other #1 picks to try to get Trevor Lawrence.  I wonder if the Bengals would bite on that today after the knee injury.

None of those were a part of a dynasty.

Maybe he still has a job to make fans of other NFL teams* thankful during the annual Thanksgiving national broadcast?  :dunno:

*Does not apply to NYJ fans

Were the Bills a dynasty? They fit the criteria you laid out.

The seven best playoff teams in the early 90s were the six NFC teams and the Bills. The Bills represented in the Super Bowl valiantly but the rest of the non-Buffalo AFC was really in a dry spell.

No argument here. But they aren’t a dynasty. There are only 4 in the Super Bowl era. Pittsburgh, Dallas, 49’rs and the Patriots. The criteria is three rings with the same group of players. The Pats did it twice with two different groups, minus Brady. He’s the link.
