The SC ruled 5-4 against New York Governor Cuomo's plan to strictly limit attendance at Synagogues and Churches.

Reason: It unfairly singles out houses of worship when other places have more lax standards

Judges in the majority:  Barrett, Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh

writer of the majority opinion:  unsigned

writer of the minority opinion: Roberts

Was Robert's name on Epstien's flight logs?  Sure seems someone has something over him.

Well, according to Cuomo himself this ruling didn't mean anything. sounds like he's going to willfully disobey it.

it doesn't mean anything because he lifted the restrictions on the institutions that sued after the lawsuit was filed.  The institutions pushed the lawsuit anyways because if they had dropped it there was nothing that would have prevented him from putting the restrictions back in place on a whim.  This ensures they won't get shut down again arbitrarily.   The dissent basically said that because the restrictions had been lifted there wasn't an emergency any more so come see us when there is.

Awesome, I’m sure we’ll love living in a theocracy. It worked so well for places like Iran

And yet, you completely ignore history when it comes to the left pushing Socialism.

I would say the case could be made that more people were killed under Socialism than ever were under any Theocracy you can think of.

I'm not sure if you were born stupid or if you just actively try to be as stupid as possible.

How do you get to a theocracy from this? Seriously, have you suffered some brain damage?

The leftists in my family refused to believe that hospitals got more money for more Covid deaths. Also refused to believe that people dying of heart attacks and cancer were going down as Covid deaths. All private school educated. They are clinging to that 250k number.  Bet your ass that method of counting Covid deaths stops in January.

Fake lawyer hates the 1st amendment, as do the partisans on the SC.

A Theocracy is like heaven compared to the leftist vision of socialism which has slaughtered millions.

Seems like a bit of a false dichotomy, no?

If only there was a middle way. Perhaps something down the center. Maybe represented by an old hand who’s been centrist his entire 50 year career.

Wonder where we could find something like that? 🤔

I didn’t? Link?

It was a focking really dumb idea to elect that loser as president and sure enough he was one of the sh1ttiest ever. So sh1tty he was a one-term failure.

But he did get elected, and by a lot in the EC. Same as Biden though he also kicked ass in the popular vote.

HTH.

TDS. Now he has fair election derangement syndrome. That’s where you know it’s not true but your TDS makes you off the logic part of your brain.

Elaborate.  Perhaps you can point to a place where socialism has not resulted in increased disparities and death?

Democracy is down the center. The modern Democrat party is moving further and further from the center and to a place where its utterances now align far more to Mao than to freedom.

I haven’t followed this that closely, so are there NO restrictions on houses worship anymore?  Or were they just arguing they were too strict?

I could see the argument for it not being more strict than other businesses, but no restrictions would be kinda crazy.  Some of these orthodox Jewish synagogues which I think were what started this have services with literally thousands of people and no distancing or masks.

Maybe they can hold their sermon's in the old folk homes. That kind of genious worked well for New York earlier in the year.

EXACTLY!

The extreme part of the Democratic Party grows larger with each election.  Eventually they will overtake the party and under the guise of "Democratic Party" to fool the rubes into thinking they're not extreme, will then push for extreme legislation.  And once that's all passed they can throw off the disguise and just rename themselves The Democratic Communist Party of America.  Kind of like this ridiculous made up Democratic Socialism they've come up with to fool the rubes.

So?

Just trying to get clarification if they are fighting to not have stricter restrictions than other businesses, or if they think they should have preferential treatment compared to other businesses.

There are better places to become informed about current events than here.  Why do you refuse to use those resources?
