Girls in Football

Recommended Posts

Kind of felt sorry for Sarah Fuller, a Vanderbilt soccer player, who was set to become the first female to take part in a Power 5 football game today--and then Vanderbilt lost 41-0, so she never had a chance to kick a FG or XP.

She did, however, "take part" in the game when she delivered the 2nd half kickoff...

It traveled about 30 yards, to the Missouri 35.  Good thing she didn't have to attempt any FGs or XPs.

I've seen that they purposely had her squib kick it.. but if that's true, it also does her a disservice making it seem like she can't boot it.

Not sure what's true.

Are you kidding? No chance they wanted her on the field during a full on return. One of 2 things would have happened, they would have just not blocked her, or, would have turned her into creamed corn.

You don't sqib kick the ball out of bounds down 21 to nothing. She had a shittyy kickoff and now her coach is trying to soften the blow of failure.

At least she didn't cry. I once saw this documentary where this broad started crying in baseball. And her manager had to yell at her to stop.

;)

Seriously?  There's no crying in baseball!

I believe what's true is that she can't kick it any further than that.

Even a squib kick is supposed to have power behind it and bounce down close to the end zone if not covered.

Her kick would have rolled dead at the 30 yard line.

They can’t make a big deal about a girl kicker-especially when she was terrible! Now when girls get on the field and actually are in a position to hit or get hit by someone then we can talk about it. And I also feel the same way about girls talking football like on pregame shows. If you haven’t done it (played) then you have NO business telling me about it.

You wouldn't think so, but that's exactly what they did!

Even gave her SEC special teams player of the week!

Get ready for the first trans player. Nobody will be able to keep “him” off the field or risk being labeled “transphobic”, etc.  No joke, it’s only a matter of time. Actually, I’m surprised it hasn’t happened yet.
