That might be the most inane thing I have heard this year, that it comes from the government is no surprise.  While the government is moronic on many fronts, they seem particularly stupid as it pertains to economics.

I hate how they throw  the word “work” around. What they do isn’t work. Call it what you will, but don’t call it work. It’s insulting to people that work.

It's called brainwashing.  And it works, as evidenced by many of those here at this site.

Polls show the democrats have received no bump on the abortion issue. They still have race and voter fraud to fall back on.

They never know when to stop. They had it in the bag until they started pushing for post-birth "abortions." I mean, don't get me wrong, I can get with that. Just don't get mad when I "abort" your 17 year old "good boy" when he tries to steal the sh!t I worked hard to pay for.

They can't help themselves. How anybody could ever pull the Democratic lever is beyond me. Scum of the Earth.

They want to turn America into something it was never intended to be. They're playing the long game and the right just keeps giving them the proverbial inch while we slowly move miles away from where we should be.

It won't end well.

That’s very true.  They just don’t get it that most Americans have a line when it comes to this issue. They never do.

What they do is harder than most jobs in my opinion.  It may be physically demanding to do things like swing a hammer, but determining effective policy, forming a consensus, and then coercing people into supporting those policies is a much tougher task.  That's probably why they suck so bad it.

Any job that you can punch out and forget about until the next day is going to be easier than a job that you have to constantly be "on" for.

He said he was going to unite the country. 80 pct think we are headed in the wrong direction. When’s the last time people agreed at that rate?

His way of uniting was to implement opposite policy from what half the country wanted to stay in place. The guy should be thrown in prison.

i could make a bullshiit defense of the link between tax rates and inflation.  "Greedy corporations are squeezing consumers for every penny all the time with record windfall profits.  The threat of higher taxes on craporations can bring them to heel and lower the prices so inflation isnt as bad".  But she is talking nonsense instead.

The real reason is corporations drive the economy.  If you cripple the corporations with taxes, they can't and won't drive the economy.  Voila!  No more inflation!

But they can't say that.

I wonder why they need a person to do the press secretary job.  If all they are going to do is read talking points from a binder, why not just set up an automated call line.

Reporter: How does raising taxes on corporations reduce inflation?

You asked about taxes.  The wealthy need to pay their fair share.  Taxes help stem climate change, make an America that is equal for everyone, and basic bargaining rights are important too, and Joe the plumber shouldn't pay higher taxes than wealthy people.

the press is a powerful constituency.  If your administration only interacts with the press via information pamphlets and automated call lines, while your political rivals actually press the flesh and meet with the press in person, the press may turn on you.

pressers arent about disseminating information.  its about blowing smoke up the press' behind.  in modern times, the republican will move the republican press to the front and ignore the liberal press and vice versa.  you must please your press.  its about "oh im a bigshot i got pampered with a front row seat in the middle".

They have this amazing ability to hire completely unqualified people in order to push their diversity BS. I do feel sorry for her because she is not capable of bullshitting & lying like the previous idiot. She simply doesn't answer the questions. Of course in this case and pretty much every Doocy question, there is no logical answer because he directly attacks their lies.

My company stock is down almost $145 per share since creepy joe started doing his thing.

I'm hanging on to it in hopes conservatives get back in power. It's a rather safe risk though I think.

And my company is about as liberal as it gets.

Well, they play the game.

Conrad Black is on my "must read" list whenever he writes.    This is one of the better summaries I've read.   Accurate and concise:

Trump ran against the corrupt back-scratching, log-rolling society of the OBushintons—the Clinton pay-to-play schemes, the Biden sales of influence and access, the semi-disguised socialist–racism–elitism of the Obamas, and the flabby sameness and ineffectuality of the Bush–McCain–Romney–McConnell–Ryan Republicans. Trump sensed the people were dissatisfied with the bipartisan Swamp, and he ran as strenuously against the Bushes and McCain and Romney in 2016 as he did against the Clintons and Obamas. The anti-Trumpers of both parties, in the most legally questionable presidential election in U.S. history, eased Trump out in 2020 with the aid of 4.8 million harvested ballots, 95 percent of the national political media, and 70 percent of the campaign money, to bring in (unintentionally one assumes, though there was plenty of warning) the most incompetent regime in the country’s history.

In 2020, the Washington establishment demonstrated the accuracy of Trump’s claims of how corrupt and unscrupulous it was, and Biden has demonstrated that it’s even more incompetent at government than Trump alleged.

The problem is not that both 2020 candidates are now too elderly. The problem is that 2020 and the run-up to it demonstrated that the Swamp is as venal and self-interested and corrupt as Trump said in 2016, and they are back. If we go back to business as usual—a stronger Democrat than Biden and a compliant consensus Republican—the rot of 2016 accelerates.

The Swamp Must Be Drained (theepochtimes.com)
