Good for you.  I've attempted a couple times when Walmart had them available but of course once I was lucky to hit "Add to Cart" it instantly became "Fock you the bots beat you to it".

No biggie.  I'll be playing AC Valhalla for quite awhile still and then I'll try and get a PS5 once the madness subsides. 

What's the first game you're playing on it?

And skyrim.

Ive been playing skyrim on my switch and I'm obsessed. I'll have to start all over now. But I'll have mods.

Will probably start with valhalla. I absolutely loved AC odyssey, and vikings!

I don't have a 4k TV yet. May get one this weekend. I'm hoping I can remote play to my tablet well. It sits on a bendy arm right over my couch.

Im still using a PS4 which is enough for me.  But Skyrim is fantasic.

Im doing AC Odyssey right now which is also super cool.

MLP the show 19 at times as well.

And bloodborne..which quite frankly was a smidge too hard for me/

Headset AND controller. 
 

Trust me on that. Had to stop playing online for a while cause of my controllers. Ended up with one of those $100+ controllers and it’s SO much better

I was playing the other night and suddenly, mid game, ps4 resets. it's coming back up and says "do not power off"  so I went to check and the power cable was loose and it came out. Everything focked. Couldn't get it back. Had to factory reset. Luckily my COD data was backed up on PS+ everything is gone. A week before I get a pS5 :mad:

So I got the ps5 Christmas day. Hooked it up to my sh!tty 30 something inch 1080p TV. Noticed the TV, which I never use, has a burn hole in the screen. Guess some incense got away from me.

This would not do. So I bought a 55"4k TV.

Finally got everything set up. What a pain in the ass. Sony makes the first two days of owning a console a misery. Make 13 accounts, sync them, download 100 gb of sh!t. Ugh.

But it's all amazing now.

4k video is pretty sweet too.

Except pron. I don't need that much detail of a skanks turd cutter.

I did. I have a 4k monitor. Meh. Installed the new spiderman and Demons souls.  I am back to playing COD on my ps4 pro.

I can believe that. 

I have zero interest in that Spider-Man game. Never played the original Demon Souls, though I read that the PS5 remake is supposed to look great.

It does look great, but I'm not an avid player of Playstation, it's been years. I guess I don't have much to judge it by. 

Will give Demons souls another go

Do you have a physical or digital copy of COD?  Are you able to play on the PS5 to see if there are any noticeable differences?  Going from PS4 Pro might not be that different as opposed to going from base PS4.

The benefit of the next gen consoles is 4k/120 and HDR.  There aren't many games at all out there yet that can do this and it still remains to be seen if either console can ever truly deliver that.  The Series X, IMO, has the edge since it supports VRR out of the box - supposedly the PS5 will be getting this in the future.

If you have an "older" monitor not on HDMI 2.1 (or not HDR) you won't see any of these benefits regardless as HDMI 2.0 cannot support 4k/120.

4k HDR (at 60 frames unless you use VRR) is where these new consoles are really at currently.  And the load times are insane (at least on the Series X).

I installed PS4 cod and then paid 10 to upgrade to PS5.. it was much better looking but harder to play. it was like learning a new game
