New Years plans

Recommended Posts

What’s everyone doing for NYE and NY day? Wife has to work NYE and NY day so prob won’t do much this year for it. Got family coming over to cook, grill out, and watch the college football playoffs New Year’s Day.

Low key...jealous as hell lol. Haven’t had that in years. We are gonna do a Boston butt and some chicken on the grill. Dad always makes 2 bbq sauces. A vinegar based one and a sweet honey bbq

Hosting the Pyro Joe's Christmas party(only time we could all get together). Having BBQ pulled pork and numerous other goodies plus a casino night which will lead into an auction of numerous wrapped gifts bid on by their winnings.

Haven’t done anything much for NYE for years other than a fancy dinner, few beers and then toasting the New Year at midnight, in bed 5 minutes later.

First year wife is really working on those days. We usually do something every NYE but not this year

I also wrap up some gag gifts and give clues as to what it could be before the bidding starts. One year the clue was,"If you like rock-n-roll you'll love this."

One of my employees who also has a love for music like I bid her entire bankroll thinking it was cd's or the like only to open the bag and find a rock out of my driveway and a roll of toilet paper.

You don’t have kids. You have a kid. One kid is one step above having a dog. Stop lying every other post.

That’s good. Your wife should snap back easily at her age.

Yours snapped back real fast I’m sure.  Happens when you get knocked up in the backseat of a car at 16.

Yea she’s still in her mid 20s so it’ll be fine. Plus she’s always been athletic and her mom also isn’t fat. My ex was already starting to look like Ms Piggy so I can only imagine what she looks like now

I married a young woman. Not used meat with some losers kid in tow. That’s what happens to guys who rent rooms on craigslist and get a roof over their heads by marrying up. Lol. You aimed high!

Going to Tavern on Rush in Chicago. Expecting a real  sh*t show with no indoor dining. I’m going to just flush $500 down the toilet now.

Hopefully, my family will leave me alone so I can stay home, clean, cut my hair and do a 2 day Arden's Garden Detox Juice Cleanse.

Grill a ribeye and get drunk.  I'll hopefully get a chance to finger the wife before she and/or I pass out.

Going to have some Key Light and watch some football and bet on a game or two. Later will watch the ball drop thing. I'm on a diet so food for NYD will be sauerkraut & Hebrew National dogs.

Surf and turf on NYE to celebrate the end of my radiation treatments (tomorrow is last day, WOOT$#!@).  Wife got a big beef tenderloin from Costco that we’ll cut into filet mignons, and also got some scallops.

NYD we’ll watch the bowl games; are there any besides the playoffs?  :dunno:

Playing pool, blaring music, popping HUGE fireworks at the BIL's this year.

Oh yeah, that reminds me that we have some fireworks in the garage.  For the benefit of non-Phoenicians, we can only burn them a few weeks of the year, around July 4th and New Years.  Apparently wildfires take those weeks off, who knew?!  Anyway, maybe we’ll shoot them off.

Me too and Cinci has been good to me most of the season, will throw a few bucks on them and root for them.

Staying home. Normally I go to a friend's house but they are super scared of COVID. So they decided to travel all the way down to Dallas to see family....
