It’s not just her name, Hilaria Baldwin’s entire life is a fake

Ok, so I never heard of this woman but it is funny the lengths people go to pretend to be someone she is not and never was. 

 

Alec Baldwin’s wife Hilaria Baldwin is responding to accusations she faked her Spanish accent and lied about her heritage for years. She told everyone she was born in Spain and moved here when she was 19 years old. 

The Daily Beast reports a Twitter user named @lenibriscoe shared a long thread raising questions about Hilaria, who claimed she was born in Mallorca, Spain, and has given Spanish names to her five children with Baldwin (Carmen, Rafael Thomas, Leonardo Angel Charles, Romeo Alejandro David and Eduardo Pau Lucas). Tweets include footage of Hilaria’s accent fluctuating, including when she said she couldn’t remember the English word for “cucumber” during a “Today” show appearance, and evidence (including her yearbook and old MySpace page) that she grew up in Massachusetts and attended the Cambridge School of Weston, Mass., under the name Hillary Hayward-Thomas.

The Daily Beast adds that an obituary for Hilaria’s grandfather and a wedding announcement indicate that her grandfather on her father’s side has U.S. roots that “pre-dated the American Revolution” and her grandfather’s first wife (and mother of their children) was from Nebraska.

Hilaria Baldwin, meanwhile, has a CAA speaker page and IMDb bio that both say she was born in Mallorca, Spain. She’s appeared on the cover of Hola! magazine, based out of Madrid, where she was identified as Spanish. She also told the podcast “Motherhood, Marriage & Miscarriages” in April that she didn’t move to the U.S. until she was 19 to attend New York University: “I came for school and I never, ever left.”

I'm guessing people suspected, but didn't want to call her out.

I used to hang with a girl who was really fun. But I always suspected she lied about a lot of stuff. What she did well though, was mix in some crazy truths that kept me off guard. She was a blast to hang around with even though most people though she was nuts. I kinda miss her.

Once and for all, can we please determine whether a Spanish person, someone from Spain, is an oppressed minority, or one of the worst European oppressors?  Seems as though people like Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz fly under the radar and are thought of as "diverse", but Spanish people aren't really Latinx, are they?  They're the conquistadors of the Latinx.

Well, countries in Africa used to sell their own people to other countries as slaves after they themselves made slaves of  their own people. They don't do that openly anymore though. Well, they don't call it 'slavery' anyway as that's an ugly term. It's a much more acceptable modern name now. 'Human trafficking'.

This country should go after and prosecute and force reparations on every single person who is a descendant or a race or nationality that at one time in history, their ancestors were part of a movement that did harm to other races or nations or even their own people.

No they are not Latinx. It’s an ethnicity meant to describe the people of the americas but for some reason excluding the US and Canada.

Latinx can be white and yes, mostly of Spanish or Portuguese origins. But they can also be non-white, I.e. from the indigenous peoples like Aztecs and Mayans. For some reason they aren’t called Native Americans like the indigenous people of the US and Canada.
