But seriously any "conservative" that's gonna howl about censorship because of this is no conservative. Private company that can make their own rules. FREE MARKET!!! CAPITALISM!!!!

Trump must have violated Twitter's TOS several hundred times during his presidency. Anyone else posting like him would have been booted years ago.

Do in their terms of service they say they can ban people based on their political affiliations? What if their terms of service say "no darkies"? Or "no gays".

You're making a huge and totally moronic stretch here. There are myriad politicians on both side freely Tweeting as they please. Big difference between that and a deranged madman who, at the moment, is the world's most powerful person, using Twitter to unleash seditious mayhem and violence in this country.

Kudos to Twitter for forever muzzling this frothing madman.

I don't know where to post this. The good news? Trump is just being universally reviled right now. And his idiot followers for all losing their jobs and going to jail for their nonsense. Don't tell me you love your country and then vandalize and defile our national capital.

To me, what's most damning is the Trump said he'd be right there with them and then he sped away news motorcade like a little biitch.

Now that his ass is on fire? He's throwing those idiots under the bus. Like we couldn't see that coming.

Parler is full of chest-beating traitors, homophobes and racists. You might feel comfy there, but I applaud Google Play for disassociating themselves from it.

They can.  Doesn’t mean you should be defending them, which you’re doing.

Sorry but I’m going to defend the rights of businesses. Happens when you own a business.

This is bigger than Trump and Twitter.

The internet / social media isn't your normal "business" or even news entity.  It's fairly new on the grand scheme of things and we are just now adjusting of how this entity should be treated from a constitutional point of view.  It goes beyond politics to social media bullying, association with groups, censorship,  on and on and on.   The Pandora's box is open and nobody is quite sure what to do.

Just wait until 3D printers can make a functional gun that can be mass produced.

I believe they can. They can make some awesome pancakes.

I think Trump needs to be off of Twitter, but this is going too far.

A big business eliminating a toxic, cancerous growth on it is smart. Parler can go on being noisy, racist and seditious as it pleases, and I support its right to do so.

Another example of how in Big Tech, one hand washes the other. Here Google covers for a Twitter rival. What did Parler do besides provide free speech platform for people censored off of Twitter?

"If you don't like it found your own platform." Parler did. This is how it's done. It's bullsh*t.

This one I’m not sure about. I didn’t see their reasoning for it. The Facebook and Twitter bans made sense as there was a violation of their terms.

Agreed. I don’t get the Parler thing. I didn’t look it up, so I don’t know the details. Seems like overkill to me. Not First Amendment issue, but not what America is about

Baloney. The First Amendment secures the right to free speech, not the platform on which to express it.

Platforms have every right to control what gets spoken through them.

Don't like it? Find another platform or create your own.
