Browns @ Chiefs Divisional Round Discussion

Recommended Posts

Chiefs ran the exact same play as they did in the first half when Myles Garrett ran down Hardman.  Browns were on it that time.

CEH being out really hurts the chiefs when Leveon Bell needs to come on the field.

Every other spot on the field when you get a holding penalty or a sack, the offense retains possession, but if it happens in the end zone, it's points for the other team AND they get the ball back.

In this situation, the ball isn't going out of bounds, it's going out of the end zone.

Each end zone creates a different set of circumstances and criteria for both offenses.

Exactly!

The end zone is a special area. The ball can't be spotted in the end zone. So it makes sense to call it a touchback. It puts a priority on ball security near the goal line.

There are so many rules now that favor the offense, I like seeing on that gives the defense an edge.

Chiefs better think about finding some guys interested in tackling chubb.

Makes you wonder why the Browns waited so long to start running the ball

It's amazing how good this browns O-line is.  Before you guys go crazy on Browns skill players in fantasy, make sure this o-line is in tact.  They're making this offense so much better.

Not to mention they scored that last TD with their 3rd string LT

The genius that is Andy Reid!

Gets his franchise QB hurt on a completely unnecessary play!

That wasn't complete to Demarcus Robinson.  He took his hand off the ball to recatch it after it hit the ground.

Preach.  Already gimpy... Let's run an option!

You think he would have learned that lesson last season after he dislocated his knee

They were all over the leading with the helmet BS on that cleveland fumble out of the end zone, but aren't saying anything about the helmet to helmet giving Mahomes a concussion.

If cleveland just does the draw offsides thing here, I'll be disappointed.  With that line they should never punt on 4th and 1.

Yeah, they're running everything away from him.  Running over the right guard and waggling baker to his right a bunch.

Yeah, not only that but he had him in a choke hold

Maybe I missed a certain replay, but it sure looked like his helmet went into the shoulder, then his arm came high and wrapped him up around the head.

Legit question: who would you rather have in at LT; Blake Hance or Bob Vance?

Mahomes officially out.  And the chiefs defense looks like they are ready to quit.

No Mahomes actually makes the Browns even money at this point...

No team in NFL history (not even the Patriots) has hosted the AFC Championship game three years in a row.  The Chiefs could do it this year.

Andy Reid did it with the Eagles in the NFC.

It will be sad if the Chiefs don't do it because of an injury to Mahomes.

What is so difficult about calling a dive on 4th and short? 😆

It's not over. It's a huge blow to the Chiefs but they still have loads of talent on offense.

All it takes is one big play for them

What’s amazing is that’s henne’s first post-season completion in 13 years...

Those missed kicks by Butker are huge

Cleveland blowing their challenge decisions (the first one they didn't challenge just resulted in blind luck with Mahomes getting hurt a few plays later).

Boy Henne does not move in that pocket.  If the Browns bring a blitz up the A gap he'll be toast.

Yep. Wasn't really a big deal when Mahomes was in the game.

Henne  would’ve been better off with a quick kick. Who said Michigan never did anything for Ohio?...

The chiefs defense is going to have to make a stand.  I wouldn't hold my breath

If I was the Browns I would just run off tackle every down until the chiefs show they can stop it.
