With a week off for both teams between the conference championships and the Super Bowl, I think the competitive imbalance between the team playing Saturday and the team playing Sunday would be minimal. Put one game on Saturday night, the other on Sunday night.

With nothing on the line, it would devolve into a preseason game.

Huh...didn't know that. We shouldn't talk...the Bruins used to hang Adams Division championship banners in the old Garden.

Ray Bourque parade is all the time most pathetic thing to ever happen in sports. So Boston

Looking forward to the Tom Brady parade should the bucs win :dunno:

They used to do one sat, one Sunday for a short while. Early 90’s?

They did it once, in '82

1986? I seem to remember waiting to see who the giants played in the SB

Nope. In fact, the Giants played in the later game on Sunday, in both '86 and '90, according to profootballreference.com.

An actual game is probably out of the question.

A draft lottery where the teams with the top 5 selections randomly draw their draft order in round 1?  Sure.
New uniform reveals?  Sure.
New rule changes reveal? Sure.

Not a bad idea, but I think the Packers game could be played the week between tomorrow and the Super Bowl.  That way, we don't have to wait 2 weeks for another game.

NFL really should play a 3rd place game this year. Aaron Rodgers needs a chance to finally win something when it matters
