Police department K9 'Lil' Kim' forced to change her name over racist claims

The Bend Police Department has changed the name of one of its K9s, "Lil' Kim," following a controversy over the fact that it shares a name with Grammy award-winning rapper Lil' Kim, Oregon Public Broadcasting reports.

Chief Krantz told Oregon Public Broadcasting that the dog, a Belgian Malinois shepherd, was never named after the rapper, but would now go by Kim. 

"Although the dog is not named after a musician, it’s important to recognize that some people may assume that or believe that," Krantz told OPB. "I think in the eyes of some community members there is a connection historically to the use of dogs, specifically on protestors and Black community members, and that, that could bring a fear of canines."

Yeah, they could just continue to make shlt up forever. They could say that black farmers are personally offended by Grant Wood's painting of American Gothic cause it's racist for some reason. 

The problem with wokeness, is you can't identify them by their looks. Focking crazies among them from every race.

I say we spend money to buy a massive island or some other chunk of land somewhere and send our islamic and black and any liberal groups who want to go and we let them run their own lives under whatever focking government and social structure they wish to live in.

Our family lived watching Arrested Development together.  (RIP Jessica Walters, btw).  We named our current dog after one of the characters.  If we continue the trend with our next dog we'd better not name a black dog Tobias Fünke, or else we'll get jumped at the dog park for yelling "Tobi!!  Come here boy!! Who's a good boy, Tobi?"
