MLB Opening Day- any locks?

Recommended Posts

Thursday is opening day? Anyone have a lock?

MGM has a promotion bonus- bet $25 on any game with odds -200 or better - receive a bonus $1 for every home run on opening day, weather your team wins or looses. Here were 48 home runs on opening day 2019.

I honestly don’t follow baseball but might throw $25 on the Braves against the Phillies.
-105 ML or +150 -1.5

Hopefully MLB/MLBPA won't do a less second change and put the DH in the NL this year...

Is Biden throwing the first pitch?  I think that's a big deal to someone on here.

He won't throw a first pitch out this year, not with attendance near nil...

He’ll never throw out a first pitch. Do you know how long it is from the dugout to the field? Plus, there’s 3-4 steps you need to climb just to get out of the dugout.
This is not sarcasm.

The Mets win the first game of the year seemingly every season and DeGrom has been absolute dynamite in spring training. I'm assuming they're pretty big favs though.

Wow that's not much. I'm assuming Scherzer is pitching for the Nats though. Will be a low-scoring affair.

Mariners kick off another season where they fail to make the playoffs.

The first month is all about what happens after the 5th.  Starters are overrated compared to pens.

Miami, KC, Oakland, Cubs are all teams I would bang hard early.

I always thought April was when fans of sh1t teams deluded themselves into thinking they had a chance?

I love baseball, but honestly never learned the betting lines, can someone teach me like I’m a second grader?

Look at the numbers beside each team. Is it a plus or a minus?

Arizona +193  --- This means if you wager $100 and AZ wins, you get $193

Atlanta -105 - This means if you wager on ATL, you must risk $105 to win $100

-140 you would have to bet 140 to win 100.  +140 you would have to bet 100 to win 140.

-200 you would have to bet 100 to win 50.  +200 you would have to bet 100 to win 200.

+100 is even money.  You bet 100 to win 100.  Collect 200.

Yea crap teams usually do good the first month and give fans hope. So bet on the crap teams for a bit! It kinda sucks for someone like me to have to much knowledge and can only share it to some.

Universal DH is all but a certainty in the next round of bargaining, this upcoming off season. Enjoy it while you can.

Rojas will do fine. Not taking the bait! New year, stacked squad. I'm ready to get hurt again, no question about it....
