Official Star Trek website endorses communism

Recommended Posts

The official Trek website showcased a communist and gave him a platform for his views on their front page on April 8th.  These are the typical "champagne Communists" who think you can create that society without a brutal dictatorship.  But this is where they want to go next and SOON.  The elites will say that if you do NOT endorse communism, they will shame you and probably withhold jobs and a career.

“In the earth of the future, [we] eliminate poverty, hunger, homelessness, all the stuff that's hard to still talk about; it’s paradise on earth,” Nguyen says, “How do you actually achieve a one-world government with no national borders, where we've eliminated poverty and war and hunger and disease? That's a pretty significant gain, pretty significant achievement.”

“The conclusion is,” he says, “only through a socialist revolution to overthrow capitalism, going to the next stage of human development, can you actually do that.”

I like the Star Wars future too, but if Will Nguyen thinks "real communism hasn't been tried" and thinks he's the real communist, the good one with all the vision and ideals to pull it off, he should know that invariable, a true believing Stalin, tired of his bullsh*t, will come along and Trotsky his ass and drive it all into the gutter as has happened every other time.

it seems to me that the better way to get there is have robots to do all the work and for humanity collect Andrew Yang's Universal Basic Income... get back with me in 200 years if I'm been artificially kept alive that long and see if I think the time is right to implement that sort of thing, now that the world doesn't need ditch diggers or brain surgeons anymore.

I'm seeing communism getting softly endorsed in corners of the media here in 2021.  I think in another 2-3 years, they will be out in the open with this.

If you watch the original Star Trek series, it was the same idea. In the future, people don’t need money; we have virtually unlimited cheap energy, etc. Then they got into things like Deep Space 9 and we saw a few more non-utopian viewpoints… wars over actual resources, the idea of currency is suddenly a thing now, etc… So it comes and goes, but the overall view of Star Trek is the semi-utopia of not needing money in the future.

post-scarcity does not equal communism.

Its funny how liberals are good with the the thought of communism.

Problem for them (the liberals/gangs/communists/etc)  is, the conservatives will mow them down before it happens.

I haven't heard anyone's socio-political opinions on this series and honestly I don't care about them. The way I have always seen Star Trek tv series and movies is that it's a bunch of people going into space for two reasons: Space exploration and military actions in defense of the federation. And that is it.

They were and still are fantastic and if someone thinks it was a way to push communism on people in the US, well, I bet more conservatives are Star Trek fans than liberals are. So their plan must have failed.
