Mike, when are we kicking off the annual June Mock this year? June 7th seems to make sense.

I’m out this week but sent an email to Fumble about 6/7, but haven’t heard back. It may have went to his spam. Anyway, yes 6/7 is ideal.

I e-mailed you back. Perhaps you didn't receive it. I asked if we could start on 6/8 as I am travelling all day on Monday, 6/7. I can do 6/7 if needed, but it would be difficult for me to do much beyond just make my pick. Couldn't moderate and such. Let me know. Starting on 6/8, I am available for all the usual duties.

I don't remember who I filled in for last year, so if they are again not able to participate then I'm in.

I didn't even realize people (besides Weepaws, does that count?) still play Non-PPR. So I learned something today...

Round 4.

I think Edmonds at 4:01 is a real reach in a non ppr league. with Conner going to dominate goal line work.

And Lockett at 4:09 meh.

I do like Sanders at 4:06 and Montgomery at 4:05 and Woods at 4:10 .

Round 3.

Harris great pick, Carson and Gibson and Ekeler also.

Mclaurin and K Allen and Thielen also.

Biggest question would be Jacobs imo.

1.  Hawkeye21 - Christian McCaffrey, A.J. Brown, Allen Robinson, Mark Andrews.  Having the #1 draft slot is tough.  It's extremely unlikely that the consensus #1 prospect will finish the season as the #1 performer (that will likely be Derrick Henry, especially in non-PPR scoring), but when there's such a clear-cut consensus #1, you look like an idiot if you don't take him.  So I'll give Hawkeye21 a pass on picking McCaffrey over Henry.  I'm not sure Allen Robinson was the best WR on the board at the 2/3 turn, though, and I'm really concerned about the TE pick in the 4th round.  At least he'll have the next pick at 5.1 to try to right the ship a bit.  Grade:  C+

2.  worm - Dalvin Cook, Michael Thomas, Antonio Gibson, Chris Godwin.  It's quite a bit less excusable to pick the perennially-injured Dalvin Cook over Derrick Henry (especially in non-PPR scoring).  I suspect worm likes to live on the edge, though, because he went on to double down on just about every player who has missed significant time with injuries recently (and Gibson is still not fully recovered from his turf toe sustained at the end of last season).  If everyone stays healthy, this could be the start of a credible team--but the odds are against it.  Grade:  B-

3.  Remote Controller - Derrick Henry, Justin Jefferson, Austin Ekeler, Robert Woods.  Remote Controller was one of the only folks over at the old Fantasy Outlaws site who axually knew what he was doing, and he looks to be pretty much on point here.  First he avoided the pitfalls of Kamara, Barkley and Zeke to nab the top overall RB prospect (especially in non-PPR scoring), then he went on to choose two top tennish WRs.  The only criticism I have is the selection of Austin Ekeler at 3.3.  Najee Harris, taken three picks later, would have been a much better choice for a standard scoring league--especially since Harris is frequently going a full round earlier in real-money league drafts.  Grade:  A-

4.  Vikings4ever - Alvin Kamara, DeAndre Hopkins, Patrick Mahomes, Tyler Lockett.  I'm a little leery of Kamara in standard scoring without Brees (Barkley was probly the pick there), but it's not out of line.  I usually don't advocate taking a QB early, but Mahomes in the third in 2021 is the exception.  He's a potential league-winner this year.  Of course, selecting Tyler Lockett over Robert Woods helps to balance out the Mahomes advantage a bit.  Ok, a lot.  In fact, after hitching my wagon to a reception-dependent RB in the first, I might have been tempted to go with a more traditional RB here, like Mike Davis, but given that I could probably get Davis a few picks later in the 5th, Woods would have been entirely acceptable.  Grade:  C

5.  Dan - Nick Chubb, Darren Waller, Keenan Allen, Melvin Gordon.  Ugh.  I guess Dan took the standard scoring thing to heart when he reached for a pure runner in Chubb for his 1st-round pick, but come on, you got Zeke and Barkley there who DON'T have a "1B" sharing the backfield with them.  He backed up that major error with the selection of a TE (in standard scoring, no less) in the 2nd round over a bevy of credible WR choices like Hopkins, Jefferson, Thomas and Brown.  And that put him in a position of almost HAVING to take a WR in the third, which left him stuck with Keenan Allen and allowed Najee Harris to fall one more pick--and further forced his hand toward Melvin Gordon in the 4th, when he could have had Woods!  Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we pick a TE in the 2nd.  Grade:  F

6.  WhiteWonder - Saquon Barkley, D.K. Metcalf, Najee Harris, CeeDee Lamb.  WhiteWonder was in the right place at the right time for this draft, taking full advantage of the boneheaded picks ahead of him to secure top talent.  Barkley fell to him at 1.6 (!), Harris fell to him in the third (!!) and CeeDee Lamb is universally underrated as a 4th-5th round selection this season.  The only pick I can quibble a little with is Metcalf as early as he was picked, but Metcalf isn't too different from that group of Hopkins, Jefferson, Thomas and Brown, so I can't fault personal preference TOO much.  Literally every one of these players should finish the season in the top 10.  Grade:  A

7.  Ray Lewis' Limo Driver - Jonathan Taylor, Stefon Diggs, Terry McLaurin, Miles Sanders.  Marlon Mack is back to be Taylor's "1B" and Hines gets the passing downs, so Taylor can't possibly return better than RB2 performance this season.  Selecting him at 1.7 qualifies for the bust of the draft.  Sniping Stefon Diggs from the anxiously awaiting WhiteWonder was a bit of a coup, but while I like McLaurin with Fitzpatrick under center, this team probably should have shored up its questionable pick of Taylor in the first with a true RB1 like Chris Carson there in the third, instead of Scary Terry.  Not having Carson also meant that this team had to look to Miles Sanders for a RB2 in the 4th (again, Mike Davis is eschewed)--and nobody wants to be stuck with Miles Sanders this year.  Grade:  D+

8.  Fumbleweed - Tyreek Hill, Calvin Ridley, Chris Carson, David Montgomery.  "Zero RB" is a VERY risky strategy in non-PPR scoring, but Ray's incompetence allowed Fumbleweed to recover nicely from selecting two top-5 WRs in the opening rounds by snagging the very credible Chris Carson in the third.  David Montgomery is a little less credible (ahem, Mike Davis, people), but he might be a low-end RB2 if all the stars align for him--and with the first three picks, Monty doesn't have to be great.  Grade:  B+

9.  robb - Ezekiel Elliott, George Kittle, Mike Evans, Clyde Edwards-Helaire.  It started out amazing, with one of the top 5 RBs falling to the 9th pick (!), but then it kind of fell apart.  Instead of a top-5 WR like Diggs or Ridley, robb went with a TE in the 2nd round of a non-PPR draft, and instead of Lamb or Woods or even a credible RB like Davis, robb opted for a disappointing CEH in the 4th.  I can live with Evans in the 3rd, though I probably like Thielen better there.  Here's hoping for a late-draft rebound.  Grade:  C-

10.  shovelheadt - Travis Kelce, J.K. Dobbins, Josh Jacobs, D'Andre Swift.  Yeah.  Wow.  Where to begin.  Obviously, I like Mahomes and the Chiefs' offense this season, but Kelce's 5 TDs in the 2019 season would probably keep me from drafting him in the first round of a standard scoring league.  Jacobs is the best RB of the three; the other two are heavily mired in committees--and Dobbins was picked at #15 overall--more than a full round ahead of his ADP in money leagues.  Having no WRs to this point is a real concern as well.  This shovel will need to unearth a couple of WR sleepers soon, or else it's just digging its own grave.  Grade:  D-

11.  Matt's Eagles - Aaron Jones, Cam Akers, Josh Allen, Amari Cooper.  I can forgive Mahomes in the 3rd, but Allen is a reach that early, especially with a top 10 WR like Thielen still on the board.  Akers probably won't live up to his draft position here, either, but at least both RBs are the clear #1 options on their own teams.  Cooper would be a credible pick, but Lamb will probably be more productive, so that was a bit of an error, too.  Close, but could have been better with Thielen and Lamb over Allen and Cooper.  Grade:  B+

12.  ICEMAN - Joe Mixon, Davante Adams, Adam Thielen, Chase Edmonds.  I was liking this team all the way to Chase Edmonds--but pfew, the stench from that pick is overwhelming!  In money PPR leagues, Edmonds has an ADP of 62; he was selected here in non-PPR at 37!  (What has Mike Davis ever done to you?)  A good RB later to go with your other three top 10 players will help a lot, but I can't completely ignore that 25% of your draft so far was a Whammy.  Grade:  B

Round 2.

Like Adams but its a tough one with the issues that deva Rodgers is having with his feelings.

Like Diggs a lot at 2:06. And Hopkins at 2:09 and Metcalf at 2:07

Keep an eye on Ridley at 2:05 he’s having a tough time with his foot injury.

Don’t like Dobbins at all at 2:03 or M Thomas at 2:11

Biggest mistake made in round one was J Taylor, you had a shot at taking a top three rb if you  had taken the Zeke.

Cant wait to see the rest of the story, thanks for sharing.

1.  Hawkeye21 - Christian McCaffrey, A.J. Brown, Allen Robinson, Mark Andrews, Ronald Jones II, Michael Carter, Ryan Tannehill, Robby Anderson.

Grade:  C+

At least Hawkeye went with RBs for his next two picks, though he chose committee members rather than bellcows like Mike Davis.  Those guys won't move his needle much, but at least he addressed the need, and I like the Robby Anderson pick (he had it going on with Darnold in NY previously) enough to bump Hawkeye21's grade up to a B- through 8 rounds.

2.  worm - Dalvin Cook, Michael Thomas, Antonio Gibson, Chris Godwin, Kyler Murray, Odell Beckham, Jr., Damien Harris, Deebo Samuel.

Grade:  B-

These were all credible selections that I don't really have strong opinions about one way or another, so I don't really see that they improve or degrade worm's team.  After Cook and Thomas, (and it could have been Henry and Thomas), it's just a collection of B-list talent, so it's still a B- for me.

3.  Remote Controller - Derrick Henry, Justin Jefferson, Austin Ekeler, Robert Woods, Russell Wilson, Mike Davis, Ja'Marr Chase, Logan Thomas.

Grade:  A-

Probly still a little early to be getting a QB, but the shrewd addition of Mike Davis to replace Ekeler as his RB2 probly would have improved RC's grade to a full A.  But then he chose a rookie for a WR3 when proven studs like Sutton and Juju were still on the board, so that kind of negates the Davis boost and forces me to leave him at an A-.

4.  Vikings4ever - Alvin Kamara, DeAndre Hopkins, Patrick Mahomes, Tyler Lockett, Kareem Hunt, James Robinson, D.J. Chark, Brandin Cooks.

Grade:  C

After hitching his wagon to a PPR specialist in the first round, Vikings4ever doubled down on PPR specialists with his choice of Hunt in the 5th.  At least whatever work is left over for James Robinson probably won't be catching any passes, but then we don't know how much will be left over.  While Chark and Cooks are solid picks, the lack of any solid non-PPR RB after 8 rounds means this team is trending downward.  New Grade:  C-

5.  Dan - Nick Chubb, Darren Waller, Keenan Allen, Melvin Gordon, Chase Claypool, Travis Etienne, Courtland Sutton, Michael Pittman.

Grade:  F

Ok, who took over Dan's team for the last 4 rounds?  I almost like the last 4 players better than I like the first 4 players.  Other than passing on Mike Davis for Etienne, these were all pretty legitimate picks!  It will be hard to overcome the incompetence of the first few rounds, but Dan earns the greatest grade increase in the draft, moving from an F all the way up to a solid D+!

6.  WhiteWonder - Saquon Barkley, D.K. Metcalf, Najee Harris, CeeDee Lamb, Lamar Jackson, Brandon Aiyuk, Kyle Pitts, Gus Edwards.

Grade:  A

While the addition of Aiyuk makes these top 3 WRs potentially the best trio in the league, I can't endorse the early selection of a rookie TE, and Lamar Jackson isn't as valuable now that they're trying to get him to pass more.  Dak, Herbert and Rodgers were still on the board.  Instead of Pitts, he was looking at Mostert or Juju.  I guess without guys falling to him a round below their ADPs, WW becomes a little more mortal.  Drop that A to a B.

7.  Ray Lewis' Limo Driver - Jonathan Taylor, Stefon Diggs, Terry McLaurin, Miles Sanders, Dak Prescott, T.J. Hockenson, Raheem Mostert, Will Fuller.

Grade:  D+

Well, Ray finally addressed his RB sitch with Raheem Mostert; now he just has to pray that Mostert stays healthy and that Sermon doesn't take too much of his work away.  I like Fuller better in a bestball format, but as a WR3, he should be capable.  Getting a top 2-3 QB will lift this team to the C- range.

8.  Fumbleweed - Tyreek Hill, Calvin Ridley, Chris Carson, David Montgomery, D.J. Moore, Julio Jones, Leonard Fournette, Matt Ryan.

Grade:  B+

It would be nice to have more than the back end of a RBBC for a RB3 (especially when your RB2 is as sketchy as Monty), so already having Hill, Ridley and Moore, I probly would have opted for Mike Davis over Julio Jones in the 6th (especially in a standard scoring league, where Jones' inability to score TDs is a more severe liability).  It's still looking like a pretty solid team with a weakness at RB, though, so I'll leave Fumbleweed at a B+.

9.  robb - Ezekiel Elliott, George Kittle, Mike Evans, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Justin Herbert, Diontae Johnson, Jalen Hurts, Javonte Williams.

Grade:  C-

TWO QBs in the first seven rounds?  Evans and Johnson are the only WRs after 8 rounds?  I think we're looking at both an inability to evaluate talent and a poor understanding of draft strategy here.  Coulda had Brandon Aiyuk instead of Johnson and Juju instead of Hurts and I might have bumped this team up a notch.  As it is, another full grade drop is warranted:  D-

10.  shovelheadt - Travis Kelce, J.K. Dobbins, Josh Jacobs, D'Andre Swift, Joe Burrow, Tee Higgins, Matthew Stafford, Juju Smith-Schuster.

Yeah. Grade:  D-

Shovelhead dug up a couple of guys who are the WR3s on their own teams to be his top two receivers.  BRILLIANT!  If he doesn't take Burrow, he could have had Golladay or Aiyuk--and Aiyuk was still on the board when he opted for Higgins!  And then when you only have one WR and it's the seventh round, the only sensible thing to do is--you guessed it--draft a second QB, of course!  This shoulda gone Golladay, Aiyuk, Stafford and Brandin Cooks.   As it is, let's just move this team to the cellar.  Grade:  F

11.  Matt's Eagles - Aaron Jones, Cam Akers, Josh Allen, Amari Cooper, Myles Gaskin, Kenny Golladay, Jerry Jeudy, Dallas Goedert.

Grade:  B+

I'm not a huge fan of Gaskins, especially in standard scoring, since he will probably struggle to get to 5 TDs on the season, but as an RB3, he hopefully won't be called on much.  Matt mined some decent receiving talent in the early middle rounds, with a couple more teams' WR1s to add to the previously meager stable.  Nabbing Mike Davis instead of Gaskins might have pulled this team into the A-range, but even after four more rounds, he's close, but still cigarless with a B+.

12.  ICEMAN - Joe Mixon, Davante Adams, Adam Thielen, Chase Edmonds, Cooper Kupp, Aaron Rodgers, Tyler Higbee, Tom Brady.

Grade:  B

Yet another team in dire need of a standard-scoring RB who passed over Mike Davis (again) for the chance to have a 2nd QB--one who might sit out the season or retire--and even if he plays, he's on the same NFL team as Iceman's top WR!  With no legitimate RB2 and the draft cupboard being pretty bare at this point, Iceman's drafting skills are being exposed.  The first three picks were awesome, but the next five will earn this team the biggest drop since the first four rounds, all the way from a B to a C-.

M Davis 6:10 right now in a non ppr is the steal of this draft.

People must be forgetting that on only 195 att and a very poor 3.5 rush avg T Gurley scored 9 rushing tds.

M Davis going into this season is a lot better player than Gurley was going into last season with his gimpy knees.

Round 5

i like pick 5.08 D Moore and 5:11 Gaskin that owners third rb and C Kupp who I think with Stafford at Qb could match his 2019 ff season.

Round 6.

Love 6:02 Golladay, and of course 6:10 M Davis the steal of this draft, I do like 6:03 Higgins I’m buying and think he will be the best producing wr on the Bengals , but he’s not a wr1 on a ff team .

Good pick 6:07 Aiyuk bonus also he’s your third wr congrats. Also like 6:11 Beckham jr , If Mayfield does indeed improve again this season he Beckham could produce a big return for a 6th round pick.

Round 7 I think Mostert is a reach at that pick.

Round 8 I didn’t see T Hilton picked yet I think with Wentz at Qb he’ll have a round 8 type season , low wr3 high wr4.

Thanks for sharing , and thanks drafters it’s been fun following along. N

I'll probably regret not taking Hilton in round 9. In hindsight, I didn't need James Conner. There is an overlooked back out there that I still like. I also passed on Hilton for Mike Williams in round 10, but that's because I believe Williams has more upside.

But again, in hindsight I would have gone rd9 Hilton, rd10 Williams  and had a 5 WR group of Metcalf, Lamb, Aiyuk, Hilton, Williams.  Instead  I have Metcalf, Lamb, Aiyuk, Williams, and AB. :dunno: could work out about the same.

Good handcuff picks in round ten picks 10:11 and 10:12 Murray and Dillon. Also like a rebound of some sorts from pick 10:4 Z Moss and from what I’ve been seeing pick 10:2 Shenault has looked like the best play maker on the team

I'm with you there.  I like Williams a LOT in best ball formats.  I would hate to have to decide on starting him week to week, though--unless Keenan Allen gets hurt (which was a pretty annual occurrence there for a while) AND Williams himself can stay healthy (which has also been an annual fail so far).

But yeah, great upside at a low price, on paper.

I would rather have Hilton with a fired up Wentz coming in and being reunited with his old coach.
