Dad runs over Toddler - Sister in Law starts 40K GFM for Funeral

Recommended Posts

They can be pretty expensive. I mean you know how weddings are, and here you have to buy the plot, casket etc. $40k is not out of line IMO.

And what a horrible tragedy, I hate these stories. Can you imagine anything worse for a parent? 😢

I have questions...

Doesnt a 350 have a back up cam?

A shovel from Home depot is 14.99.

Lumber prices are pretty high tho.

No, I can't.  A nightmare you will never wake up from.  One of the many reasons a GFM would not happen. Couldn't stand the attention.

Tragedy.  Dad runs over own son in his F350.  Horrible.

Not even 24 hours later, sister starts 40K gofundme for funeral.    Fundraiser by Monica Gudiel : Bairon Alexander Zapata Castillo Funeral Donations (gofundme.com)

Am I too cynical here to say WTF?   How much is a funeral, anyway?

Cremation. A few thousand bucks I think.

I've always told my wife to just give me the Frank Reynolds funeral:

Truck might need some repairs/cleaning, but 40k seems steep.

Sad.  I guess the mom tried to warn him but by the time she screamed "Bairon Alexander Zapata Castillo, WATCH OUT!!!" he had already been run over.

Yeah, sorry.  40K for a funeral is absurd.  It's clear she or they are going to try and cash out on this tragedy.

Even if they get 40K, they'll use $1000 tops for cremation.  If that.

Can you imagine how that one plays out for the next 30 years?

"Honey? You forgot to pick up milk. It was right on the grocery list ..."

"Oh yeah!? Well you killed our child!"

Yep and a lot of people are going that route now days. I hadn't been to a funeral in years that had a actual body. May Dads was probably the last one.

Horrible story.  I think this is more about GoFundMe

I don't like it....people abuse it and I rarely if ever donate on there.

Maybe sell the F350 and buy a F150 and pocket 10k for funeral expenses?
