Is the CDC now a regulatory agency?

Recommended Posts

Federal judge says no. Another example of our federally elected leaders not doing their job and pushing legislation and regulation to the agencies that were created to assist the lawmakers in doing THEIR job. It doesn't take a genius to see how bloated government happens. Lazy lawmakers only interested in re-election.

Judges here in Georgia ignored the CDC when it said that people shouldn’t be evicted during Covid if they lost their jobs. Judges ruled in favor of landlords and evicted families unable to pay their rent.

That's actually how the Roman Republic collapsed into the Roman Empire.  The Senate was too lazy and drunk to do its job, so they went out and partied and quietly handed all decision-making to Caesar.

I'm going to say this. While I'm no great fan of how the CDC handle the pandemic. They're not nearly as much to blame as CNN is. For example, way back in the middle of the summer CDC came out and said hey by the way we got it wrong about hard surfaces. You're not going to get covid from a hard surface. No s***, CNN had that as a bullet point but literally the next line down was a picture and watch Dr Gupta show you how to wipe down your groceries!

Most of the media just completely ignored the CDC saying the whole hard surface thing was b*******. Hell, entire businesses were created just to wipe s*** down. And this was after the CDC came out and said our bad.

CDC came out four or five months ago and said the same thing. But God damn people are still wiping s*** down.

At the end of the day, this pandemic has basically just emboldened agoraphobes in germaphobes. You wouldn't believe the number of f****** lunatics I experience every day at the store. Fortunate

Unfortunately, I think that's here to stay.

Nah, the CDC put a national moratorium on evictions last year. It later got struck down in court.

Yea CDC doesn’t have jurisdiction on evictions. They can suggest things but doesn’t carry any weight

Yes but peenie felt the CDC should have oversight. Ridiculous.

OK. The "you have your facts wrong" made me think you thought she got the details wrong.
