Funny, my daughter’s HS friend was born a boy named Jordan (could be either boy or girl), then went trans and instead of keeping Jordan, preferred the name Dani for her girl name (again, at least when spoken, could be a boy or a girl).  So maybe it was all about getting a new name?  

Also for the woke in the audience, I said “went trans” because he was a great example of a confused kid from a focked up family who wanted/needed attention he wasn’t getting at home.  I haven’t seen him/her in years and don’t know what he currently identifies as.  He is the reason I think some trans kids are just confused and need counseling vs. surgery.  She had other friends who were trans who I thought “yeah, that seems legit.”
