At my job, on one project they brought on a new hire dude that just graduated from Stanford and put him on my team.  Dude was sharp mentally as can be. But he was so focking brainwashed on social matters it was scary. Black dude. All about racism and global warming. Just out of his mind.

Teaching people to hate, to be envious, dissatisfied and militant is something we have to accept now.  There are perhaps two generations who have been taught to hate.  Unwinding this would be like deprogramming someone who left a cult.

That's a good way to put it. And what's really scary is the guy I'm referencing probably had an IQ off the charts. He picked up complex work tasks in like seconds.

He ultimately left the company to go back to get his masters degree but I can only imagine the amount of damage that guy could do if he stays on the same path.

What's the actual reason?

Surface coverage. I prefer to use common sense. One thing I know co2 isn’t a net negative.

however over the past 70 years we have covered so much of the planet with concrete and blacktop it only makes sense. The earth is designed  to absorb sunlight and heat and it’s being reflect and amplified back into the atmosphere.

I saw a study in Orang county how they have said the average temperature has risen 7 degrees in the past 70 years in a particular place where they get their temp readings from. The problem is. That it used to be orange groves and now it’s a strip mall

Why 40 years ago was global cooling the big thing? It's the Earth. The Earth is in charge.

It’s from a “scientist” with their agendas and all but read this the other day and seems relevant.

Look, the climate crisis is not our fight alone; it’s a global fight.  The United States accounts, as all of you know, less than 15 percent of carbon emissions.  The rest of the world accounts for 85 percent.  That’s why I kept my commitment to rejoin the Paris Accord — because if we do everything perfectly, it’s not going to ultimately matter. - Joe Biden

It always is. But we do have an effect on it. I try to look at things logically and not with an agenda. Climate hoax is a cult.

im also against solar and wind l, as they are net negatives on the planet as well

I remember that In Search Of episode, big fan of Nimoy......     Back then the "science" was about a looming ice age....because, well, it was cool...... so of course, you go outside and its cold....there must be an ice age....😃

Sounds like you need to get some grants and back this up!

It’s just strange to me that there aren’t people and scientists trying to do this very thing. Almost like they don’t want to work on a solution. Bottom line in politics. Solving things takes away a voter base. Dems don’t care about climate. Republicans don’t care about the borders. If either side fixed either of those issues they’d lose 10% of their base

One of the greatest accomplishments of humanity was to go to the moon in sapce suits for a couple days. So now we are capable to control the daily temperature of the Earth? Give it up.

Two things can be true at once. You can think there is no way to control it. Which you are right while also working on innovations that improve quality long term

Appreciate you sharing.  Curious as to why you think this the actual reason?  Do you have any data or is this just a theory at this point?

I won’t speak for the border folks.

For this issue of addressing our impact on the climate, having a cleaner planet, what have you the issue is primarily it is extremely difficult and complex issue. We have a large group of people who don’t care, think it’s made up, think there is no reason to do anything. It is understandably hard to come to a consensus on anything, then there’s actually trying to do something.

Correct and they would lose a ton of money as well.  0 incentive to allow long term fixes to these issues.

Wait, we want to absorb more heat?  Wouldn't that make things hotter?

The alignment of the planets is one of the causes of Climate Change. We are affected by our proximity to Jupiter. Jupiter’s gravitational pull moves us closer or farther from the sun.

Stop using actual science already.

Yes we want the earth as in land to absorb heat. It’s what the planet is designed to do. How does heat coming in and being amplified off a surface and reflected back into the air cool things down?  It doesn’t

For example. The republicans don’t necessarily think it’s not an issue they just don’t think that throwing trillions at it while china and India do nothing are the solution.

that’s the camp I’m in. Which makes me a climate denier despite what I have already said

I read a few studies as part of a counter argument and one of the things addressed in it was planet coverage. I would have to search and see what I can find. But I’m in Vegas now

while it may be considered a theory. It does seem pretty damn logical

Anyone who has walked through a parking lot in Phoenix at night in summer understands this. Phoenix had a population of 430,000 in 1960. Today the population is 4.7 million and millions of tons of concrete were poured. Phoenix is a heat island.

China definitely taking steps. Think they got over 50% renewables and nuclear for the first time in past year.

No but it does.  See, when heat is reflected back away from the earth and back out into space, that means less heat at the surface.  When the earth absorbs heat, that means more heat at the surface.  Make sense?

Which is why the temp is higher now in the same location. Even replacing desert dirt with black asphalt and the avg temp will rise.

A guy replanted the forest acreage that he owned in South America. 20 years later, after the trees had grown up, the temperature there was lower.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7099537/Brazilian-couple-spends-20-years-planting-trees-barren-ranch-create-paradise-animals.html

Same applies everywhere. Cut down trees, replace with a shopping center and asphalt, the temp rises in that area. Continue building outwards, the temp continues to rise.

The only correct temp for an area is where no humans are, like out in a field. NOT at an airport!

Climate change is a bigger scam than the jabs.

So the 14th plan is the charm. Why do liberals always believe what China says?

get back to me when this actually happens.

I don’t really believe all they say for sure. They are certainly taking steps to produce more renewables though mostly out of self preservation - is nasty over there.

At the least I prefer my air to be cleaner so am for promoting policies in this regard. It will take a long time with a lot of effort.

So what is it? Climate change or you don't like living in a shlt filled smog and human feces infected liberal shlthole?

Or do you live somewhere nice and are just being another liberal whiney bltch?

Despite Pledges to Cut Emissions, China Goes on a Coal Spree

They will definitely continue to buy and use coal. No one is going to drastically change the way they live or try and slow growth.

Continuing to slowly build up renewable sources is the way to go. Solar where it makes sense, wind where it makes sense, etc.

Paris agreement allows China to increase their carbon emissions until 2030. The United States has to cut emissions between 26 and 28 percent compared with 2005 levels by 2025.

As of 2015 Chinas CO2 emissions were more than twice the emissions of the USA.
