Cards are a gamble, but just a little different.

There may not be an immediate ROI on the cards you get.  But, there could be a rookie card that looks like a dud but turns into something valuable down the road.

Trout and Mahomes rookie cards weren’t worth much when they first came out, but look at them now.

I just mention cards cause know that is your thing and use to open boxes as well. Different when having some knowledge and educated guess betting on sports. I miss those days open boxes with my dad and fun times  we shared together. Ps. glad you are doing good with it!!

Looks like I may not win the over on the Seattle game but if they win I get most of my money back and still have the Dodgers and under going.Point being you ain't going to win them all but money to still be made.

Proving my point again lost on Seattle but hedge my bet so out $60 cents. Won 9 or more on Dodgers and under and haven't check yet. There is no money to be made in this! BS! If you listen to me the last two days you should be happy.

I may not even bet tomorrow and point is don't bet on every game and do some homework if you want to win. If just for fun then cool and get it.

We should run a contest where we pick a certain amount of sides each NFL week and see what our  % is at the end of the year.  Doesn't even have to be for money

So just for kicks I put $100 into my fan duel account and I’ve just hammered NFL preseason unders. I’m not up anything huge, maybe a few hundred dollars.

But in general when a line comes out what is the betting strategy then versus betting right before a game?

My tip for gambling... don't do it.

Here's a gambling challenge for you.  Let's see how many of you can beat me.

You start with $1K cash bankroll.  Post ALL your NFL bets pre-game here.  Doesn't matter what type, but all bets have to be in before kick-off to count.

I start with $1000 worth of football cards.  I can hold them or trade for different cards throughout the season.  I post every trade before 1st kick off each week.

Post results each week and running balance throughout the 17 week regular season and let's see where we all end up.  You can play with real or monopoly money.

I participated in something like this.  A friend of mine ran everything on a spreadsheet.  You submitted your bet, either $25, $50, $75, or $100 and a screen shot of the line you're betting.  He'd enter everything into a spreadsheet and send out updates every other day.  It was pretty cool.  There was no starting dollar amount, you just either finished in the negative or positive.  We went on a monthly cycle, so we had 12 winners per year.  We just put in $60 each ($5 per month), and at the end of the year, my friend would tally up the money/winners and pay people out at the end of the year.

The only rule was, you couldn't place more than 3 separate bets in a day.  He didn't want to sit there for hours entering everything.  What ended up happening was everyone was signed in and we entered our own on Google sheets.

I will accept this challenge if NCAA is involved. You and I will need to collaborate on a spreadsheet. I do player props exclusively, so if you are down, let’s do it.

There are no cards of current NCAA players yet.  They’re coming soon, but not before the season starts.

It would need to be NFL only.

And why do we need a spreadsheet?

Just post all bets prior to kick, post results Tue or Wed, and keep a running tally.

It would also be better if there were more guys involved.

On average I have 6 plays per each game. A spreadsheet would be needed in order to keep it orderly. Plays would be posted before kickoff, but those lines are generally not available until 3-4 hours before kickoff.

7-4 (.636)

If the NC State game wasn't a blowout, the last Emezie catch likely gets reviewed and overturned putting it at 8-3

1. Parlays are not a waste for a few reasons. A small stake can make for a really exciting weekend. Hitting a $10 parlay for $1150 is fun. Also you can hedge it, as someone mentioned before with a solo bet on the team you’re most confident in. Keep some 4pm or prime time games in there and many books will let you cash out for lesser winnings if your parlay is still alive and you don’t want to let it ride.

2. I love player props. As a fantasy football guy, I find player props on receptions, TD passes, completions, total yards etc to be easier to bet than point spreads. I specifically like reception props and specifically like going for overs. I don’t like to watch games hoping a player stops getting targets. In the offense / pass happy NFL, it’s easier to play the overs.

3. I also used to have some success betting first score field goal and over X amount of field goals.

Now….. this isn’t totally sports related but I find it very easy to make money on Draft Kings if you are patient, disciplined, and stick only to their promotions. Let’s just say I’m up 360 units since March. You have to take advantage of their sportsbook promos (examples right now are Tampa +73 points max wager $50, and Georgia-Clemson hammer the over promo Over .5 points max wager $25). They had at least 6 of these on football alone last season. Free money. They do it because it brings in new users or new deposits and most people will turn around and blow the winnings because it’s house money… But you also have to  take advantage of their casino promotions. Once or twice a day they will offer promos like play $10 on blackjack and get $5 free credits. Play dollar hands to get the free credits. Most of the time you will be up $ from where you started. Sometimes it adds up slowly but sometimes you catch a nice gain. And if you’re a strict sports betting guy, you can at least use those promo winnings to make extra sports bets.

This is why I am on my third Bvada account under someone else’s name using a burner phone to place my bets. After a while, they give you the boot

I lost 2 games today but maybe up for it and ahead a few bucks with Mich ST. and over with moneyline. My site doesn't let me bet on College player props and will have to find out if it's the same for NFL.

NFL too. I look for lines that have been shaded too high and play them.

What I am not doing is betting ALL OF the unders. Just the ones where the lines are off.

Clifford should rush for more than 35 yards.

He could. I never bet over on any rushing plays though. One thing I always take into account when betting college QB rushing plays is that sacks count as negative rushing yards. It comes into play quite a bit.
