The hook got me. 7.5 -9.5 is essentially 10.

The game was actually bet down from -8.5.

But it's still early. I just don't think I can bet against this Indiana team. These guys are all like 23 years old and skilled.

Sort of a running shtick with a group chat.  I ask 1 buddy each week to give me a pga pick and I never bet ut anyway.  I say before Sony, ok Joe we are hitting winners this year give me a Sony pick.

Of course within 2 minutes he responds "Gotterup".  I say ok nice!  While thinking yea hes not a fit for the tourny.  Well of course he wins and semi runs away with it yesterday.

I did have Gerard as one of my 3 outrights.   But 2nd place doesnt pay.

I wont live it down.  My buddy might as well call it and finish the year 1-0.

The important thing is, golf season is back.

Best time of the year.

It is good.  I like throwing darts on golf.

Sometimes if I dont mind his pick, I will bet it small for shlts.  First tournament and just dont because honestly didnt like his game for that tourny at all.  And my buddy watches some golf knows players but doesnt really look into course fit or form.

I went all weekend hoping anyone but Gotterup won it haha.

Took Bridgeman this week already.  But its return of the schef so it probably doesnt matter.  Honestly I may start betting schef assuming hes in it on Sundays just for something to hedge off of in final round.

You ever do any DFS for golf? I used to but got lazy last year. I think I'm going to start up again this year. I usually stick to the 50/50 or heads up games.

I will still throw a lineup or 2 to look at.  But no not really all that into it.  Just feel like to compete at your potential you need to be throwing a lot of lineups out there and have a plan on builds.  Yeah Id rather do a 50 50 at bigger entry than GPPs.  Ive had some staggeringly good lineups that arent anywhere near the top.  I did hit a 2nd place on a 3 dollar lineup like 4 years ago.  Single dart throw early on when I was trying DFS.  Paid 2k.  Thatll never happen again.  I have a friend that used to be real into dfs and would play 60 lineups a week and geind that way.  I know nothing about that life nor do I want to spend time on it.  But you have to in order to compete with the serious players.

I actually dont mind the dollar winner take all tournaments.   Sure itd be crappy to waste an elite lineup on that anf not a GPP, but have won a couple of those needing to beat like 250 lineups.

Holy God, I had a brutal one last night. 6 team  parlay and part of it was Boston and Pittsburgh over 127 1/2.

So it was seven seconds they are at 127 and I can’t remember who but one of the teams was up by three with the ball. So all they have to do is inbound it and they’re gonna get fouled, make a free-throw and it hits.

Of course the guy turns it over on the inbound pass and naturally nobody can make a three-pointer so that was it.

This is a terrible spot to back Schef.  A birdie fest where guys all around close and anyone could put up an outlier number.

But its Schef so give me the action.

+128 to win

Forgot to post these last week so not sure what the numbers are now.

Kenneth Walker u 78.5 rushing

Hunter Henry o 36.5 receiving

The only terrible spot to bet on Scheffler is after i already have or if i drafted him in Edex.  Still the stupidest, most punchable face on tour.

Lately I only bet golf going into the final round, picking someone who is a few shots back at decent +odds. worked pretty well last year, and I'll only avoid it if Scheffler is leading.

The Walker one gives me slight pause but I don't hate it

I've yet to dedicate the time to it this season, but I like doing the tournament matchups.

Farmers week.  So I will throw some losing darts.

Cam Young 20-1

Zal 50-1

Nico Hog 56-1

Valimaki 180-1

To make cut parlay: Cam Zal Day Aberg +230

Screw Aberg.  Cant stand when I get swayed by some guys I like to read on picks.  A few of them took him as their outright.  I wanted no part of him to be honest.   WD last week off illness could mean nothing and not that hes in bad form really but something seems off over last half year.

Well swayed.  Oh sure he will probably roll out of bed and make the cut here half drunk if he wants.  Course fit and all.

Smooth t-last after rd 1.

I just picked him in edex so MC is coming but I am surprised to see Straka so far down the betting odds (+8800? on DK is that correct?). Guy is pretty high in the world rankings and played fairly well here last year.  MC at the Amex I think but was playing fine to end 2025. I don't really see any course fit issues.

like i said I don't really bet pre tournament golf anymore outside of top 10/20 markets but Straka feels like a nice outright pick at those odds, maybe in the w/o scheffler market.

I’ve been proposing this for a couple years now, but I want all of the sports books to have a new rule that says if you have a prop play like let’s say Draymond Green to get eight rebounds, right?
And through the middle of the fourth quarter he’s at 3 rebounds so it doesn’t really look like it’s probably going to hit.

If the player gets ejected, the bet is void.

Can you imagine the excitement of a bad call going against Draymond and he starts bitching how much you would be cheering to get his ass thrown out of the game? I think it would be pretty hilarious.

I did get the payout for 7 of an 8 leg parlay when one guy left the game in the first quarter. I got the payout as bonus bets but good enough.

Oh yeah, I’ve had that a couple times if a guy got hurt really early.

Still formulating losing bets this AM. Probably will add.  Obviously if Schef goes and just wins thr outrights mean nothing.

I find it hard not to go down thr board with outrights as this is

-a short course with similar landing zones for all players (least driver heavy stop on tour)

-wonky putting surfaces, small greens

- 80 man field

- possible weather over weekend.

Burns 60 to 1 (dont really love him this week but seems like a hell of a number for caliber of player)

Clark 86 to 1 (again basically playing a number on a guy whos playing solid and has a win here)

Theegala 100 to 1 (I wrote him off last year, apparently he was injured.  He has good finishes in all ecents this year.  West coast guy)

Henley top 20 with ties -114

Some books are offering outrights without Scottie and without Scottie/Rory.

Ryan Gerard at +5000 is one I'm seeing taken.

I know I just sort of hate that market.  I guess I havent really compared odds.  And im probably totally off.  Just seems like taking that sure you are defending yourself vs a Schef masterclass.  But your guy still needs to finish 2nd.  And is a T2 reduced?  To me if im betting a 70 to 1 and he gets in that position with Schef, then I have a nice ticket to hedge off anyway.

Again im probably off on this.  Ive used that market before.  But I dont care for it.

Didn't love a ton of numbers.  Fairly forced.

Rory 13.5 to 1

HOV 43 to 1

Ryo 94 to1

Theegs 110 to 1

Fleets top 10 and ties +155

English top 20 and ties +105

This dude has been in the mix 3 weeks in a row. I love this number, but if he continues at this pace he is going to be in the +5000 range very soon.

Yeah couldnt pass it up.  Cant really see him winning this event but with his form and a 78 player field it seems worth a try at a hot hand.

If Rory could putt anything in Sunday.. anything other than his final hole, he may have been able to steal that tournament and cash a ticket.  But of course not....onward for more losers

Ben Griff was the favorite and apparently decided not to play.  So numbers shrunk.

Zal- caught 44 to 1 yesterday

Blades Brown 110-1

Carson Young 130-1

Thats it for outrights.  This course can be sticky, some guys play well here consistently.   But lately the winners have come with no real momentum here.  Last 2: Highsmith and Eckroat missed cut year before.  Straka never had a top 25 here prior.  Matt jones never had a top 35 here.  Im finished 51st year prior.  Keef Mitchell was cut year prior to his win.
