Ray_T 589 Posted January 3, 2022 Well, I won my league championship. it was an up and down week. Started out looking like a win for me. Then Cook came back off the covid list and one of my starting QB's (Cousins) went on the covid list. At that point it looked bad. I had my starting TE (Waller) out I had my #2 QB out as mentioned above and my #3 QB (Garoppolo) was also out due to injury. Herbert had a tough Defense to play against. Then he lost Gibson to Covid. When Cousins went down I quickly picked up both of the other QB's on his team and was set to start Mannion. then I saw Lock was on the wire. I liked the matchup a bit better and he was playing in a dome as compared to the Tundra in Green Bay. So I picked him up and started him instead. When I lost Waller I picked up Fant. He was really no better than any other waiver wire player at TE but he had a matchup against the Chargers who have given up more fantasy points to the TE position than any other team in the NFL. Thats why I picked him up and it paid off. my starting lineup At QB Herbert 20.05 points Lock 17.35 points At RB Zeke 3 points Mixon 8.6 points At WR Aiyuk 9.4 points A Cooper 7.8 points Flex (TE or WR) Tee Higgins 6.2 points Defense New Orleans 13 points Kicker Justin Tucker 13 points At TE Noah Fant 15.2 points His lineup At QB Tannehill 14.7 points Andy Dalton 12.05 points At RB D Cook 1.3 points D Williams 22.7 points At WR Diggs 5.2 points D. Samuel 14.2 points At WR/TE Flex J Waddle 4.7 points At TE M Gesicki 5.1 points Kicker D Carlson 11 points Defense Buffalo 9 points Final Score 113.6 to 99.95 I must say it was strange playing with so many players out on either side. felt more like an exhibition game than a championship matchup. Thanks to those who followed my posts. Its tough to go out and post your team and open yourself to criticism. But this process has actually has helped me to become a better manager as I looked at my moves with a more critical eye when making them. Not all my moves were great. but I guess the good outnumbered the bad this year. Im glad it worked out. to those of you who posted here, thanks for your input. I dont know if I will do a week by week posting like this again. it is a lot of work but it was fun to try once. anyhow, have a great offseason everyone.
