Excel Crashing When Compiling or Updating Even With Alternate File (Mac)

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have an M1 Macbook Pro running MS Excel for Mac 16.52, and every time I try to Compile or Update Projections, Excel crashes. I tried both the normal download and the alternate file but both crash.

Worst case I draft from home via my PC, but I'd like to be able to attend in person (tomorrow night!). That's what I get for waiting until the last minute... (to be fair I always do, and I've got 4 titles in 8 years. I know Draft Buddy has helped me get there!)

This is just the beginning of the error log:

Good news, we've got an easy fix for this one. I'm glad your draft is tomorrow! You need to run Excel in Rosetta mode. This is an issue + solution that came up this year and is specific to Macs with the M1 chip. See here for details:
