killerpopcorn 7 Posted September 15, 2021 Most the Keeper leagues I am in do the draft are based on final standings and I have never been last. We finally just did a reset and I pulled 1st pick. What are your strategies for week 1 of waivers being in last? -Do you still put in a claim for players? -Do you wait for them to end at 4am and ebay snipe them off the waivers? -Do you save the claim for the next week or two. AxeElf 787 Posted September 15, 2021 Depends on your needs and who's available--but of course you're probly not going to get the high profile targets. If you're in a small league or a short bench league, though, there might be some guys worth taking a shot on before the second round of waivers begins. I don't know that I would use it just to play keepaway, though... if you can't get someone who could legitimately help your team, then you might as well move up in waivers until you can. show me the murray 49 Posted September 15, 2021 Unless there's a player who is going to help me immediately or is too good not to grab and stash, I prefer to let the carnage play out and have a high waiver pick once the dust settles - always a very good chance someone overreacts and drops someone who could help your team.
