Tonight could be Clayton Kershaws final game as a Dodger

Recommended Posts

He has been a Dodger his whole career spanning like a decade.  Cy Young winner. World Series winner.  But he (and Dodger Max Sherzer) are unrestricted free agents at the end of the year.  Kershaw is not the same player he was and the Dodgers wont give him a huge deal.  Meanwhile, the Angels are under intense pressure to add pitching.  Its very possible the Angels will throw a mountain of cash at Kershaw and the Dodgers wont match.  And beyond Sherzer and Kershaw, there isnt a lot of free agent pitching out there.  The ALDS  might be Sherzer, Urias and Buehler.   So Kershaw might not pitch that.

Aren't the Dodgers going to make the playoffs and Kershaw will play then?

As I said in the OP, the Dodgers have Sherzer, Urias and Buehler ahead of him.  Might not.
