jrbdmb 28 Posted October 12, 2021 Matthew Berry said on Sunday morning that you better pick up Trey now (before the Sunday games) to beat the rush. Something tells me that rush ain't happening for a while yet. On a more general note, hope that this rookie QB frenzy will start to die down a bit. Successful rookie QBs are the rare exception, not the rule.
AxeElf 787 Posted October 12, 2021 I've always wanted to run the "Quarterbone" offense. You get a pair of dual-threat QBs, like Lamar Jackson and Michael Vick. Or just Jackson and Josh Allen, even. And you get a halfback with some QB experience. You line up the halfback a couple of yards behind center, and the two QBs in a "wishbone" formation behind and to the sides of the halfback. You can direct-snap the ball to either QB, or to the halfback. Whoever gets the snap can run, pass, or lateral/handoff to another member of the backfield, who has the same options. And then you sign a couple of 500 lb Sumo wrestlers from Japan for when you absolutely, positively, need 2-3 yards rushing.

Or an ESPN league with 10 bench spots, so you can pick up every scrub that Matthew Berry says is a "must be owned in every league."
Hardcore troubadour 12,406 Posted October 12, 2021 It seems like the football media picks and chooses what QB’s they are going to hype up as the next big thing. Fields and Lance have received much hype. Appears they need some seasoning.
Hardcore troubadour 12,406 Posted October 25, 2021 Looks like 3 of the top QB picks are not ready for the big leagues. At least the Jets didn’t trade up like the 49’rs and Bears (again). Lawrence is coming along and Jones looks like the guy most thought he would be. The other 3- ooof.
