Detroit Pizza resembles REAL pizza, not the crap a$$ed "pizza" you get out West :(

its a thick crust pizza in a square pan.  little caesars offers it nationally.

The square pan is typically metal and the sauce is on top.

Also Jesus don't get it from little Caesars.

It's not bad, it's just a lot of dough. I like thin crust Chicago pizza. Focking hate new york pizza. It's like a thin crust pizza left out in the rain for a week.

If you get it from a national chain like Little Caesars or Pizza Hut just know that is not the real deal.

If the pizza was so great Slim Shady would have wrote a song about it. Guess he would have had to walk 8 miles to get it.

He threw it up all over his shirt.

It’s an abomination. Just like Chicago deep dish.

There is a pizza place by me called Jets. They describe themselves as Detroit style deep dish. I dont give a fock what anyone says about Detroit, the pizza from Jets tastes great. Its best with turbo crust. The crust is really what makes the pizza.

Also the 8 corner is the way to go. That way every slice has a long border of buttery garlicy crust.

Great. I'm going to start making pizza in a bundt pan call it my own.

The Detroit-Style Pizza legacy began at Buddy’s Rendezvous Pizzeria on Six Mile and Conant street on Detroit’s eastside when in 1946 Gus Guerra and Concetta “Connie” Piccinato made their first square-shaped pizza.  Baked in forged-steel pans borrowed from local automotive plants, they were able to produce a very light and crispy crust which is now known as Detroit-Style Pizza. This was the first known square pizza in the U.S. and now, more than 75 years later, the pizza style has become a national favorite.

It's not square out of the oven. It's rectangle. And I like Detroit pizza.

A lot of places in Chicago cut circle pizzas into squares except for the edges obviously. And I like chicago pizza.

New York pizza is like catsup covered toilet paper.

For a chain restaurant, Jet's 8 corner is pretty damn good!

I have never heard of Jets, the closest one is about a 30 minute drive. Are they worth that?
