Griese used one of my favorite sayings.  "And he gives Taylor a Blow against a physical defense"

It won't be long until we aren't allowed to say that any more.

Yeah some frequent poster has been telling us for two years that he isn't any good. He'll pretend he said something else though if you try and call him on it....

Going into this weekend games, Taylor hasn’t been worth a first round pick.

WTF was that pass interference call? I guess they really have gotten rid of uncatchable ball calls for good. :dunno:

How did they watch that replay and rule that was a forward pass?

So, they're saying the pass was backward at the 24, but it wasn't fully possessed until the 25 yard-line.

:dunno: Even hit the guy's facemask before he fully possessed it which made it well behind the line.

Indi has the Ravens number tonight. Offense is kind of doing what they want to a degree.

Finally this year they are using Andrews like the stud TE he is.

Kinda like the "music city rape/miracle" where the Tittans threw an obvious forward pass off of a kickoff that was (for mafia purposes) ruled a lateral, WORST call I've EVER seen in my 64 years. But HEY...............these imbecile "blue staters" (chumpster's) are used to BS calls (rigged election)  like that-it's sec (MORON) country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NCAA, NFL-down south it's a different set of rules.

Wow. What a bad penalty by the dude on the Ravens. And at the end of the game. If they lose because of that, that guy will have a bad night ahead of him.

No one person in the world feels better about that missed FG than the penalty dude.

Harbaugh was all set to order the Code Red.

And congrats to anyone who had the Jackson - Andrews tag team like I did, it made up for several poor lineup decisions and got me the win.

It was.  When you are just watching the two players, the one who received the pass remains behind the one who passed the ball in relation to each other.  So the ball travels "backwards" relative to the two players.

BUT, the two players--and the ball--are all moving FORWARD faster than the ball moved BACKWARDS, so the overall result is that the ball travels FORWARD, relative to the stationary football field, even though it goes "back" from one player to the other.

What the ref said is true--if you watch the ball relative to the yard markers on the field, it was released at the 24 yard line, and first touched by the receiver at the 25 yard line--it traveled forward.

And that's the theory of relativity, explained.

TOTALLY 100& opposite of what happened in the "music city miracle"-now THAT was a forward pass. But the moron's in stripes (mafia, NFL) control what happens out there.

The refs were wrong. All you have to do is look at the spot where the ball was lateralled, then see what spot it touches the recipient. The ball went backwards from the spot lateralled and bounced off the facemask of the guy catching the ball behind where it was pitched. He was running when it hit his mask behind the pitch line and secured it a yard or two later. So it's not about when the ball is secured, it's where it was first touched by the guy catching the ball.

"Music city miracle", the ball was thrown BACKWARDS-the guy who caught it moved his front (downfield) foot forward while he was catching the ball, BUT he (AND the ball WHEN HE CAUGHT IT) was STILL behind from the line that the ball was thrown-one foot of the player does NOT constitute where the ball actually is. The refs were lazy and clueless that day, playing to the home crowd. But their hearts were broke in SB, KARMA......................................

Correct.

The ball is lateraled at the 24 yard line, and it touches the recipient's face mask at the 25.  That is one yard of forward progress.

That would be an alternate reality in which this piece of footage could not have been recorded:

This is the point at which the ball is leaving the first player's hand--at the 24 yard line.

Here is the ball in mid-flight at the 24 and a half yard line.  Note that the receiving player is still behind the first player, so it APPEARS to be traveling backwards relative to the two players, when in fact it is moving forward relative to the stationary field.

And here is the ball just before it hits the receiving players facemask right at the 25 yard line.

That is exactly how the refs explained it, and that is exactly what happened.
