whats his status?

all i can find is that he is eligible to return possibly week 7.

any news on how his rehab is progressing?Any NO homers out there that can shed some light on if  is he in fact gonna be ready come week 7 to step right in and contribute?

Could be a major boost not only for NO but for a fantasy team that has him stashed or can pick up before then.

i also saw that a lot may depend on where they stand and  how they do against Tampa week 8...if they lose and are in danger of not wining the division, there are rumblings that he could be traded...

thoughts?

From what I've seen, it looks like they're expecting him back week 7 after the bye, but nothing certain.

If he was having any setbacks or something, I think we would have heard about it

Just not sure if the passing volume is there for him to be reliable. That offense is about as tight with its distribution as I have ever seen.

That’s what I’m wondering…how is the rehab coming along? Is this just a “no news is good news” scenario?

I get what ur saying…….Admittedly, I don’t watch many saints games but wouldn’t things open up more with Thomas in the lineup? Not sure if either guy who’s is there now is a “true” #1WR. Having a reliable #1 would make Winston more comfortable, wouldn’t it?

That's how I'm seeing it. Of course there's always the chance they're just keeping it hush, but most of the time, with a longer term injury like that, it just falls under the radar and then one week, they come off IR and are back.

Thomas’ rehab from injury is progressing and sets up for the Week 7 return.

“A lot of his rehab has been in Philadelphia with his ankle specialist. He had a recheck [in late August], he’s ahead of schedule,” Payton said. “He’s going to be a big part of what we do, and hopefully the sooner the better with his recovery.”

Thomas is eligible to return to practice in Week 7 since having ankle surgery in June and being placed on the (PUP) list.

He'll play 3 games, the last two will be big.  He'll pull a hamstring in the next game and be out for the rest of the season.  He'll do just enough for the other teams to see that he's "still got it", and the Saints will trade him in the off season.

Was just offered Courtland Sutton and a third for him in a dynasty league. Normally never enough for me. But is it just time to bail? I was actually surprised even this much was offered.

He's lying Weepaws.

His ankle injury happened after the blowup with Brees.  He had 2 bad weeks, then when Hill got in, he played really well.  Brees came back, and he conveniently reinjured his ankle.

Well, that's all true, but at what point do they look at the ankle and determine this?

I would think there has to be X-rays, MRIs, etc. for a guy they're paying millions of $$$ to, to sit out because he's butthurt about Drew Brees saying it's okay to stand for the flag?

Oh, I think he's "hurt" and not faking/pretending, but I don't think he's "injured".  Two very different things.  He's not only butthurt about Brees, he's also butthurt because the team and apparently other players, took Brees' side.  THAT's what he's really butthurt.  If he is truly injured, he'll be back in New Orleans and plays next season and I'm wrong - it's happened before, it'll happen again.  If he's traded, I'll know I'm right - because teams never trade great players with multiple years under a reasonable contract unless something is wrong behind the scenes.

He’s another deva wr.  I think his feelings where hurt. I think his desire to play is also in question. I can’t see the Saints keeping him. Imo m

I am with chase and cooks over godwin, e Moore, Dotson and lockett

I don't much favor my rbs in that league, but those wrs have a ton of potential

I’m very happy for Mr Thomas, I hope he can keep it going.

I think he has regained his desire, and hopefully he can become one of the top WRs in the game once again.

Ten months ago he had no desire.

So let’s pray together that he can have a great season.

Ps how’s it going with axe up in the cool kids club house, who was the keeper of the flame? Let me guess you two are sucking on cherry soda and popsicle, now beware, the elf is a lonely old man, and never knows wha the might the with those sticky fingers.
